All hoops jumped

I put together an 'assessment' of myself in the requested categories (and it was not as good as Kain211's Very Happy ) and sent it in. So, what can you expect once you've sent them everything they've asked for on the application? You can expect something like this:

Dr xnbomb,

Thank you for your thoroughness and co-operation in our application procedure. As I have previously stated, we will contact you after the holiday season once we have fully considered your case.

Yours faithfully,

I just made up an assessment center and lied about my scores. He emailed me back and I am now part of the junior executives.

Ho ho ho. Well its good to know our beloved Prime Minister is looking to branch out into a new career path, although why he feels compelled to hide behind such a wacky evil scientist name as Dr Kane is anyones guess.

So I have time on my hands. I wrote a poem:

we went for a walk today. me and my hosts.
i napped when i got back, and dreamt.
out on the hills. looking down, i saw two lakes,
with reflections so clear i thought they were pictures.
no, not pictures - more like screens.
two screens.
and flickering between, something else.
but i woke up, and it's in the past now.

I've read up on the thread, looked at all the blogs, browsed the site, and...*rubs hands together* I think I'm ready to jump into this one!

Now there are two options: I will end up lurking...or this game will die.

Let's go for option 3, shall we?

Looking forward to some good times with this one... fortunately I'm here relatively early. Here's to constant refreshing, see you guys soon...

Destegging Ulli's Pictures?

I have no idea how to desteg pics or I'd try it myself. Is anyone here proficient enough that thinks it may be worthwhile?

I believe Trope is going to lead the way into the new generation of technology and will make the world a much better place. When it comes to Diplomacy, the current form of politics and the way we come to Diplomatic Soulitons is flawed in so many ways, however I believe with Trope technology will be able to greatly improve this flawed system. If you were to take two diplomats and put them into a room and have them use Trope technology, things would be able to flow much smoother then they do now, and also the soulitons would be easier to come by. It also would allow two people in different country's to "meet" and talk without having to actually travel anywhere. All in all I believe that Trope technology, if used correctly by all parties, will be instrumental to making the world a better place.

Guess this is taking a break for the Holidays.

Considering the mentions of "flickering", I Flickr searched for Tropes and found http://www.flickr.com/photos/tropes/

The time of the photos added sort of fits with the game, and the pictures are strange enough.... eh...I dunno. It most likely is nothing at all, but at least I'm trying.

yeah, thanks for trying, but i'm gonna go with "nothing at all" on this one. You've found an album by someone named 'trope', so trope's is possessive rather than plural, and a proper noun rather than the product we're looking for.

and the above spoiler is only a spoiler if you consider finding image sources to be a puzzle solution. We often do turn it into a side game, finding where they got their images, but it's rarely the main challenge, and is more often taking the players out-of-game. In this case, it's not even an ingame image, so it need not have been spoiler-tagged.
