Those are the same #'s we discovered earlier from the girls voice/hex screenshot in the initial videos. Can't make anything out of them yet, I was thinking Ottendorf, but that's just a nick cage induced guess...

The new video title is "astutebriefclue" - unfortunately I'm not astute enough to find the brief clue. Reversing audio is just an atmospheric "cityscape" loop, can't make out any words other than "Merry Christmas". Frame by frame of the sudden ending doesn't really turn anything up either.

might not mean anything at all, but an anagram of 'astutebriefclue' is 'beautiful secret'

edit: again none of this probably means anything. i tried also anagramming 'thyanatomic' which is one of the screennames on the third video...and i got 'chat aim tony'.

I fully admit to being stupid
Please forgive me; I'm very new to this and I'm very interested in this game but I think I've missed something huge, and having been through the entire post three times now, I think I won't be too obstrusive in asking for help.

chixor1 says "in the first victim video....Inoted what I could of the usernames for the chat on the screen." Later, s/he says "Watching the first video again, and the chat conversation that is going on when she talks about dashing off to SoHo."

I cannot find this video ANYWHERE. Is it no longer accessible? The video I would think to be the first victim video is 22 seconds long and is located (here) or at the other vid sites mentioned. According to whalewashingdolphin in a youtube comment at that video, this is a Malaysian girl which makes me think this should be the right video, but she isn't talking, nor is there a visible chat conversation, or at least not one that I can see.

Also, the other two videos on the vid sites appear to be the same. It's just the "goodbye" girl, but one lasts 40 seconds and one lasts 50 seconds. Has there been any thought about the significance of this? If there has, I managed to miss it.

Thanks in advance and sorry if I'm being bothersome.

The first victim video I am referencing is the only one we know that there is actually a victim, so far the other 4 people we have seen in the newer videos have not been "killed" on-screen "yet".

The first victim video is the one on bristelgoodman.com listed as 12.7 video, and is rather lengthy about 3-4 minutes long maybe?
It currently does not seem to be working from bristelgoodman.com
I will look around and see if any of the other video sites have the full length version and i'll email Eddie to see if he can fix it.

Someone posted before a picture a the letter Eddie recieved, without the rip, and we could see his full name is Edward Dees.

He also mentioned in one video that he has a lot of other tapes he needs to look at...so I went to google, and found this:

 		Anyone else found the last 2 videos rather frustrating?
I cant find anything clue wise in these videos.

The first of the newer ones we have Chance Theories and Thyanatomic chatting on screen.
We also have a half clothed female peering into the cam to start off the video, and a currently "unknown" male talking about "being cool".
While he talks there is someone doing a magic trick of sorts with some quarters. Not sure what the "trick" is supposed to be, and the hands are very decieving, if they are male hands, they are very feminine looking (well manicured).
Then the mouth close up of the chick talking about a guy being a "goonie".
The video file is named Thyanatomic, just like the screen chat.

The newest one which seems to be a family holiday video from the second female we were introduced to.
I believe footage from the rockafella center (?) and some reverse audio.
The jingle bells being played really slow on a cowbell.
We then see our female, and the video turns to a "negative look" with what appears to be "Scratches" across the top.

Could this possibly be a double image?

Then at the end it speeds up and goes all "the camera is moving too fast" weird.

The file for this one is called astutebriefclue
i guess the clue is extremely brief since we cant work it out?


anyone else ready to give up?

(Which could explain the vague response we received from NYPD.) And that's where the trail ends.

there's a good thing anyway for two of those options:

- if it's an ARG, this community is a perfect match and ready to go
- if it's real, this community could definitely offer a lot of insight and problem solving

- if it's a hoax, well, I guess we'll find out sooner or later...

More Bristel Goodman Recap
I Still think there is some connection between the list of numbers and the 'nine letter word' (Dominated). Also, in the list of numbers there is a question mark, with a possible insertion of '34' - in both places this list turned up, I thought that this number was 38.

The sign language (GODSTLEGOD) is uncannily similar to BRISTEL GOODMAN - maybe it's simply a portion of that, perhaps the hand symbol for 'O' was onscreen for longer or something.

Can't make any sense of this. Other key things (or not!) so far:

Th3spian on MySpace has been connected because of RUMI - but the bio of that site is definitely that of a 'real' person - Brad Friedman. The auditioning/actor slant seems appropiate however.

NEON ROT HAZE - linked to the ROT cypher, or to college Hazing rituals?

RuMi's screen handle is different in the early videos - both RuMi_909 and RU-MI909

Fingerprint, pill and key icons in the early video - but why?

If RuMi is still checking her MySpace page, does that mean she's still ok?!

The Net Threats page is really weird, and doesn't seem real. Can anyone confirm what this is about? (The Blog itself seems too mysterious and 'gamey' - does anyone have the resources to the two 'threads' about the Iraq Vet and the car accident victim?).

- Phew! I'm confused. One last thing - the person / actor in the 3rd video just before the Card action seems very familiar, but I can't place him. Would the cards indicate some kind of substitution code?

Thanks for welcoming me and answering my question about the video. Now I will try to be of some use Smile

I did a WHOIS search through DNSstuff and found that netthreats.org is registered to Terry Smith of Florida.

The WHOIS info says it was created on June 20, 2006. This doesn't fit with the site, which has an article dated 3/16/06. Interestingly enough, NetThreats' Bristol Goodman blog says it has been tracking the story since June 06. Can't find anything useful about either Terry Smith or Stan Yoder on google.

I'm inclined to believe that Edward Dees on the PI Brown site is unrelated, as Brown and Associates is a real licensed PI firm according to the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators.

This is definitely not Brad. I contacted him directly and he checked out the profile. Confirmed that it was his resume, but not his account.

We never actually saw her attacked. Just walking toward the door and the voice saying don't go..

I thought the same thing, but I can't figure out from where. At first I thought he was Brad (see above) but comparing the pictures side by side put that away.

As with the Chad / Rumi video, figure they aren't actually talking to each other but both to the killer.

The dates match. Someone earlier discovered that Bristelgoodman seemed to have a false start in June and then resurfaced.

Wow - Isn't it a bit odd that a cut'n'paste bio can remain up on an 'unauthorised' page, or that it even exists at all? Where does that place all the 'friends of Th3spian?' - ALL just a mixture of 'plants' and fellow ARG-ers? Which friend WOULDN'T comment on a fake bio?
