I think Operation: Sleeper Cell is pretty lght-hearted. Which is strangely counter to the fact that it's a game based around donating to charity.

Silly. You don't choose an ARG. It chooses you!

ARG - wooden stick, approximately one foot in length, that can be used for a variety of pagan rituals. Smile

Yay, we defined ARG! All meta discussion is now moot.

Are there any fairly easy games with lots of interaction going on at the moment?

I'm looking for game with an indepth story, preferably horror or fantasy. It can be light on interativity and I'm not fused if it's over or quite well in, as long as I can find all its story threads. I think I'm looking for something more transmedia than ARG actually. And something grassroots.

I'm looking for something somewhat dark but not too much. Something cryptic plot-wise but not too many codes, or at least easy codes to figure out? I'm still getting a grasp on cyphers and failing pretty bad. I like the creepy found footage jigsaw plot stuff, like Marble Hornets or My Dad's Tapes. I especially like My Dad's Tapes because it's got a lot of serial killer references.
Just Started to Medium Start up. If it's been going on for a few months that fine, I like going through archives more because it gives me something to do while waiting for other series to update. That paranoia, looking over your shoulder thing. Where you can watch it during the day and it's fine, but then you go to sleep and you realize what you just watched.

It's kind of an addicting feeling, honestly. I feel weird for saying that though.

Here's what I'm looking for.

Game progress and community size does NOT matter to me whatsoever so long as the following are met

Creepy. I'm here to get the pants scared off of me. The creepier/scarier the better, honestly. Maybe a bit of conspiracy. A BIT.
Involvement. I want to feel like this is real. I want to have to wake up in the morning and actually question IF I AM in my house. I want this to feel so real, my DREAMS won't even know what the hell to do. Make me paranoid. It adds to the scare factor.
Puzzles. I like em. Not codes and encryptions. Not something I'll have to be a hacker to figure out. But puzzles. They're fun. They make it more interesting--so long as the storyline isn't overrun with them. Which brings me to...
Storyline. As stated I want to feel so involved, I question if my dreams are mine. I want it believable. None of this 'the water flows UP into the sink when I turn it on' like CoughCantSleep was doing. Realism is nice. Make it believable. If it isn't believable, if it doesn't feel real, it is difficult for me to get into it. I'd appreciate any help or a hand in the right dirrection. Point me towards a game that meets this and I'll jump right in. Happily. And thanks as usual in advance for any help.
