I believe its a vigenere, and going with the premise that its an http:// and co.uk i have a keycode so far of "loveinf", which ties in with the words in the binary. Still not got the final step yet =) will finish work soon though so can do it then.

Is there anything that Melvin Geist won't do!?
I'm getting sick and tired of stories like this. For a Hollywood actor he has his fingers
In far too many pies!

The binary has already been decoded I believe, but here is the picture with a little photoshop work.
I'm wondering what is around that eye....may be a clue. Could this be about AI?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Unless I missed something, the vid might as well have been an audio file...
I'm not so sure. I think that the visual portion of this tells us a few things:
1. The radio station this is from is KIV Radio Seattle. (This fact is never clearly stated in the audio.) I've discovered that this actually is a real radio station, albeit a seemingly small one (they don't have a website dedicated to them as far as I can tell).
2. Mr. Geist, who is an actor, lives in Malibu Beach (CA); this location is rather far from Seattle (WA), where the radio station is. This leads me to believe that this 'news' must be on a somewhat national level.
3. This is just an observation, but... Did anyone else notice that, at the end of the video, the 'KIV Radio Seattle' tagline moved much faster? Could this be important, or not?
---
Also, doing a quick Google allowed me to determine that Melvin Geist does not exist as a significant figure outside of this game. This might be obvious to some, but I figured I should clear that up.

Was there an auto-response to let you know signup was successful?
Just making sure I'm not missing anything.

Hi all, long time no post here...
I'm definitely excited about this one.
Yeah there was a thank you for signing up message when I signed up,
and I tried checking out the page info and source code, whatever I could do, but no luck with anything that hasn't already been said.

Assuming that googlevideo thing is connected (hope it is, sounds cool. How was that found, again?), it seems like an awesome place to start a game...
...even if it does remind me pretty strongly of the plot of "The 4400". But I'm not judging!

I'd have to agree a bit with that.

Yeah, it's definitely connected. It was found by analyzing a cipher found on the Geist webpage, and it contains unique names that aren't found elsewhere on the internet. Plus, the fact that its only had a handful of views (eg. us) indicates that its not connected to anything except the ARG Geist.
