Nah. I think it's just a 404 haiku. I know a lot of pages have them.

I've joined the ARG and this thread also. Unfortunately I haven't discovered anything you guys haven't already. I'll keep on the lookout though.

Anybody else notice the woman being reflected as well? The haircut seems similar to Eva McGill. Although if Erwin was taken it could be the new "owner." The resolution isn't good enough to distinguish facial features. Any thoughts? Or maybe I'm just interpretting too much.

The lostyourpetnet-logo in the video looks in the beginning like the stars on the European flag. Could this be a hint that Erwin is somewhere on the continent?

Lostyourpet.net would appear to be a genuine site for lost and found animals, that is active across Europe and the US. I don't think anything on the site is of any relevance apart from the rabbit-hole.

Agree on the prisoner ref.

With the topic, any ideas for catagories? Could get even messier with a free for all.

Lisha; yeh, i've been doing that too

Alright, I posted my e-mail correspondence with Eva now that we have our own section for this thing.

/me prays that he did it correctly.

I'm a newbie! This is my first big game! Don't hurt me if it's not formatted right!

I've split off these threads from here: a thread for e-mails with Eva about her lost cat, and a thread for the subject180287.net site - please post any further discussion on these topics over there. I think that covers all the main subjects from here so far, and we don't really need to start any more new threads for stuff that has already been discussed and solved here. That said, feel free to start new topics for updates/new puzzles/etc. I'm not going to lock this thread, but, really, everything that occurs in the game from now on should go into into its own threads in the forum.

Thanks Smile

I wandered into the Watershed on the way home from work today, just to see if there was anything of interest knocking about...
...there wasn't.

and that is the latest dead trail from me.. exciting eh?

This looks interesting. VOIPHE has his/her own page here:

http://www.berm.co.nz/cgi-bin/video/user.cgi?VOIPHE

Unfortunately, there are no videos or favorites added yet. I'll check it every once in a while, maybe something good will pop up...

I agree, I think the VOIPHE thing is something to watch out for. Chances are this Shufti fellow is a local filmmaker supporting the project, possibly contributing to it as Bristol seems to be the centre of it (the band who sing the theme tune are also from there apparently).

My apologies for dredging this up if it is already designated as bluefish...

I definitelly lean toward biswas being a character as he's making himself the cat in the Schroedinger experiment walking the line between this world and the next by entering a state of delerium, then he plans to build a machine to contact aliens. sounds suspiciously like what actor melvin geist was planning does it not?

I'm also confused. The blog and the art/experiment is directly connected to Shrodinger's Cat thought experiment, but is Ansuman a character or a PM???

So I would just like to revisit this for my own satisfaction... Can we say for sure that Biswas is OOG? His name turns up when we replace hazel with erwin (or anything else) at:
http://www.dshed.net/studio/projects/diffraction/journal/hazel/

which would seem to indicate some kind of connection with the IG universe... His post on the orgone site referenced by Ofucio is interesting because it is very different from all the other posts on that site, and I don't think it was replied to... (pls correct me if I'm wrong)... the fact it appears on a site about orgones is fairly tantalising also - I imagine the timehole boys know a thing or 2 about them... orgones are the centre of a new-age pseudo-scientific belief about the Universal Life Force - quick wiki link for ya: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orgone

then there is Biswas' blog:
http://www.dshed.net/studio/projects/diffraction/ansuman.html
as mentioned by mgelles, there are some striking parallels between this guy's work and our lil ARG right here -
Quote:
Recent work includes CAT, a comparative study of quantum physics and the Indian science of vipassana meditation. For this piece the artist was sealed, with nothing but drinking water, in a lightproof and soundproof box for ten days.

Quote:
The third part of this trilogy is a large-scale work, Array, which is inspired by meditation, radio astronomy and the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence. It consists of twelve bowls placed in a circle of 4,000 mile radius centred on the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean, transforming the planet earth into an eyeball.

so, the connection with the first quote there seems obvious...
Could the "Array" tie in to the "Circle Theory" somehow? It sounds too wacky to be a genuine project surely... Also has shades of our friend Melvin about it.
Hmmm... thing is though, this guy has an awful lot of web content around, some of it pretty old, so it seems he is indeed a RL person - is this what they meant when they told me about game reality and reality reality blurring into each other at the edges? Arrrgghh!! It hurts my head trying to hold it all in... Any kind words of advice out there? Wink

oh and one more thing...

We're having our teas now (Pat's wife Gilda made him go home). It's allready late so then we'll be going to bed. We'll be back in touch tomorrow with any new theories and clues as to what's happenned to Erwin. (I don't use those little face things - Pat loves them though.)

Quote:
Stuff Has Happened Allready

I'm probably being really nitpicky but does anyone else think it's a bit odd that that same spelling mistake would crop up twice?! I'm probably just being a grammar nazi, it just seems a little odd.

and in a different context:

Rekidk wrote:

Yeah, I'm guessing it's on purpose. Look at the description on enter-geist.com--very well written. 'Allright' (for example) is a mistake a careless college girl could make, especially with how jumbled (no offense, of course) she seemed in the vid.

So you can make that three times that somebody forgot to drop the second 'l' when prefixing with 'all'... and in different places too... are they just short on literate staff there or what Razz I'm fighting the urge to see this as a clue, how desperate is that?
again, my apologies for the length and randomness of this post.
keep loving it

Actually Rekidk's comment referred to the 'Stuff has happened Allready' title of Eva's blog so it is still only two!

I still can't make my mind up whether to think it's relevant or not. If it crops up a third time I'll jump on it!
