New Site

http://www.freewebs.com/psychicpoems/

And on this page there is a puzzle:

Quote:

Which is base 64 and gives:

Which is Vigenere and the key is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ppp

Which says:

the winning poem will receive a special distinction

This is a comment about the solve above:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Since the key is a single letter, this can actually be decoded using the simpler method of rotation. This one happens to be a ROT-11...just shift each of the letters 11 places forward in the alphabet. Vigenere obviously works fine, but rotation is easier to do. Still a nice catch and solve Sylvia...just wanted to clarify the type of code for those that are still learning.

Your right, i just had the vigenere solver opened and went with it. The update came in the middle of something else I was doing and I did a rush job. But then in the end vigenere is just a stronger version of rot. So either will work.

And yes, i cheated.

Miss Corinn's Poem
Hidden message?

Miss Corinn is referring to a location in this poem. I found this that may not mean anything:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://www.freewebs.com/eden/index.htm

but the background images are the same as:

The Silver Garden

A new link has also been added:
http://www.freewebs.com/psychicpoems/guestbook.htm

And here is the poem
http://www.freewebs.com/psychicpoems/misscorinnspoetry.htm
Quote:
The Silver Garden

I wander through the tall grass while the moon shines above

My shroud trails behind me and I hear a singing dove

From somewhere up ahead on this flower-covered path

I hear an almost silent giggling laugh

As if from a child playing hide and go seek

And between the long grass the fairies peek

I can see them now in the silver grass

Looking at me as I walk do I dare pass

By without stopping before their forms start to harden

I must keep moving to the glorious silver garden

It is where adam and eve were once kept in the dark

And now the dove changes to a bright singing lark

The silver garden is the place where dreams are born

And it is also the place where dark things go to mourn

So as I walk through the long grass as the moon shines above

I smile, and I frown, and I remember our love

Personally, I'm not sure http://www.freewebs.com/eden/index.htm is related. There is no way of checking the profile, no copyright info, etc.. So until there is concrete proof this is game related, I am going to ignore it.

ETA:
Strike the above I just noticed that the logo for http://victimsofmisscorinn.wikispaces.com/ is the same as the background on those two sites.

did anyone catch the new poem on the psychicpoems website last night? it isn't there anymore! i almost copied it, but figured it would still be there in the morning.

while i don't remember exactly, it seemed basically to be a reply to lucy's poem that's on there right now. (assumed to be written by jakob.)

it mentioned a couple of names at the end, too..but for the life of me, i can't remember them. hopefully someone else copied it down, because i dropped the ball on this one.

r

EDIT: I'm a moron and shouldn't post before i've had my coffee. If i looked at the right section, i'd have realized it was still there.

Here's Miss Corinn's latest poem:

Quote:
The Young Child

Hello world how are you today

Why can I no longer go out and play?

Please tell my sister and my parents too

That I say to them "I love you."

I want them to know that my death was not hard.

I want them to throw away the sympathy cards.

They should also know that I'm doing quite well

I'm in heaven, in fact, opted to stay out of Hell.

So please let them know that I'm watching over

And to be careful of the four leaf clover.

Luck is blind, and so is a witch.

And, oh yeah, Katrina's a bitch.

I wonder what the four leaf clover reference is all about?

date change and Lucy's poem removed and Alia's poem added

On http://www.freewebs.com/psychicpoems/rulesandinformation.htm

The date for submission was to end on November 31st at midnight has been changed to November 15th at midnight.

Also on http://www.freewebs.com/psychicpoems/submittedpoems.htm

Lucy's poem has been removed:
Quote:
Me And My Brother
By: Lucille M.
My name is Lucille and my brother is dead.
I don't know what to do with my time.
Some days I think I hear his voice
Some days I think it was all a dream
Come with me now, Jakob, to another place
One where I don't have to live with this grief.
Right this way, to a better world.
I want to stop thinking what I could have done different.
Now is the time when all the pain ends.
Now is the time to move into action.
Lying here in this dark, cold bed
I hear your voice whisper in my ear.
Every instinct tells me you can't be dead.
Some days I pray it is all a dream...

And Alia's poem has been added:
Quote:
Miss Corinn: A Haiku

BY: Alia C.

Miss Corinn, psychic
Told me I should know about
The PhoenixFire Corp.

Since then we have found
Many connections to them
Among them, Jakob.

None of us know much.
With Coven of Black Crows,
Maybe they kill kids.

Frank Dawes wants her gone.
He says she ruined his life.
He wants Katrina.

Frank and Lucy work
Together in their dear cause
To warn all others.

And poor Miss Corinn
Just wants to give free readings.
And for it to end.

Ok, I know i'm a little bit crazy....but i'm pretty sure i called it Miss Corinn Haiku because that was 5 syllables and made me happy it fit the pattern...

New Poem by Corinn

Quote:
Return Another Day

Time slows down
As I walk along the path
What do I see
Do you need to ask?
The flowers and the trees
And the silver, silver bees
Make the world around me
With surprising, startling ease.
Secrets lie hidden here
As if time has been planned
And everything that happens
Is predetermined by god's hand.
I want to know what's going on
As I walk through this place
But I'm afraid I'm going to have to
Lose this particular race
Suffice to say it's mysterious
Suffice to say it's great.
Suffice to say I'm going to have to
Return another day.
I meet up with others here.
Sometimes a little boy.
I sometimes see a woman
Playing with another's toy.
I don't know what to make of
This little silver garden
But I'm going to have to
Return another day.

another poem by miss corinn

Quote:
The Lake of Departed Sorrows

I step away from the mountain of compressed earth
And move on through the silver garden
The next thing I come upon
Is a placid lake, mirroring the sky.
To my surprise
To my surprise
There are others here
Others standing along the edges of the lake
Looking in
Gazing in
Searching in
The lake's depths
For something long gone.
I don't know what to do
So I mirror the actions of the others
As the lake mirrors the sky
The people around me seem to be asleep
With their eyes open.
I don't look at them
I look at the lake
I look at the water
I look down and I see myself
Dark brown hair, and
Hazel eyes, and
Long eyelashes, and
Full red lips, and
I also see someone looking out through my eyes
THROUGH my eyes
They're looking at me
I can see into them
Into their soul
I don't know their name
But I can tell they are sad
They seem to have been trapped
Someone has hurt them badly
I feel it is my fault, although
I cannot have met this person before.
They are in the lake, after all.
In the placid waters
That mirror the sky.
The image in the lake flickers
And I see her
She is there
And she is with the boy
The boy
And in his hand he holds a four-leaf clover
And he whispers to me something I shall never forget
I don't know what it means but it will be with me until the end.
I sigh, and a silver mist escapes my lips
It falls against the lake
And the entire body of water moves
As one.
And I am gone
Standing home again
No longer by the lake
In the middle of the garden
That mirrors the sky.

Someone changed my poem title as well - it should have read 'Not Another Peep Linda' which is a movie reference. Anyway, I hope I win..... Twisted Evil
