Majestic BETA testers...reunite! I keep wondering to myself, who's still hanging around back from the days of Majestic...I know a few of you guys (& gals!) are still here, maybe lurking...but I'm curious to see who's still gaming after all this time. Please let me know!

other beta testers I was not a Majestic player, but was part of the circle of people who beta tested Uru Live. I recently got an email from UbiSoft to sign-up to be considered for testing a future game. No details now -- i haven't even been selected yet -- and there will probably be a non-disclosure agreement -- but it would be cool to know if others get into the same circle.

I was a Majestic beta tester, although not heavily involved.

I was a beta tester, back then I was known as dparadise20. I just got an email about testing a new game from Ubi too, hope something comes of it!

Yes! I was a Majestic beta tester as well - one of the front line live testers where we got an episode before the public did.
I'm looking for people who followed alternate story-lines in Majestic, specifically people who followed the Jackson Davis Detective Agency thread, with Fred Jenkins' wife.

I, saddly, did not get ot be a beta tester.. but I did play the game before it died. My first ARG, it was. Actually, it was searching for it on wikipedia , out of curiosity, earlier this month that lead me to ARGN and thus to start playing ARGs again Now I'm in Orbital Colony

I played, read all the fuss about its "failure", thought ARG's wouldn't catch on, stayed away from push nevada etc as I didn't like the idea i was having my strings pulled by a marketing company, stumbled on ARGN a while ago and been waiting for a game to start that seemed to be indie but with production standards or pay monthly, I seem to have missed out on a few...

Count me in, I played the beta until it went live.
I couldn't register for the full game since I was too young to get a credit card.
But I did end up talking to someone who ended up living a few blocks away from me, at first I thought it was part of the game until I found out and kept farrrr away from him.

I played Majestic, but just the first (free) part. I didn't even know what an ARG was back then, but I just thought it was a cool game. My husband was a little freaked out by the creepy phone calls, though!

Speaking of those calls, you Majestic players (and your spouses) might remember receiving this one . (It's a RealPlayer file.)
And for those who didn't have the chance to play the game, it's a tiny taste of what it offered.

I don't have .rm but by the filename I think I know the call...
I was on my way to work.
It was a bad commute day and some momo had just cut me off.
My cellphone rang, and I answered it with a loud, angry, "What!?!"
For a few moments I thought I had scared Kendra.

I was working for Electronic Arts doing QA work on their EA.com website, among other things, when Majestic was given to us to work on. It was a lot of fun and I was very sorry when it was decided that the game would be cancelled. I was happy and a bit surprised to find this thread. It's cool to see that there are some old Majestic players lurking about.

Although an older thread I thought I would comment on this as well. Although not a beta tester I was one of the pay for players that actually continued through the story (although I remember little of it).
It scared my ex wife, she didn't like the thought of threatening phone calls and such. I loved it.
I dreamed of ARGs after Majestic for years, but never knew they were still running until I found a book called The Traveller and found it's ARG site. That's how I ended up here.
