Actually, if I wanted to be more specific I could go on about how it's really 62.4 inches, but I'll leave it at that. I just hope this one catches on.

It's time to clean the calculator. I don't want to be late.

I know that they can probably read this, whoever they are. I'm not worried about that part. They think they own the world, reading my thoughts when I sleep. I've refused to take my meds due to this issue, as it will only give them power. Why should I give them the glory? That's what I say!

Oh God, I just realized my radio was on. Dammit! I gotta be more careful. I can hear them breathing in the static.

I'll write more as soon as I re-tape the floor.

 		This could very easily be a red herring, but "62.4 inches" is the most snowfall ever recorded in Annandale, NY. I figured Mary Lane was worth a search, so I checked MySpace. I found this.
Look where she's from.

Elliot's son's name is Arthur not Ashton. Perhaps Ashton could be his grandson.

 		Nice! Ok it also says to check the # again, which I did - I didn't transcribe it, but basically it says that he forgot to turn the microwave off again and he could use some more duct tape. He wants her to come by and leave some outside his mail slot close enough so that he can reach it with a stick. Pretty much what was in the blog.

 		tipsila, good solve on the puzzle. Be sure to send that info on to Ashton and please share with us how you solved the puzzle. Was it a substitution puzzle or something else?

ETA: It looks like sustitution, maybe we should make a quick reference chart and pushECX could put it up on her site for us.

 		yes, it was a substitution cipher.

I started with the first symbol, and named it 'A', and marked each unique symbol with a consecutive letter of the alphabet.
