Heh, did now.

Serves me right for speed reading through the thread.

My excuse is 5.30am eyes.

FRBPULAFHPOSMLUCNIDYMENDBKIELGTPDOAAKILTIO

is the Babel String

Using Codon length (3) as the 'Stick' width gives us

FPAPMCDEBETOKT
RUFOLNYNKLPAII
BLHSUIMDIGDALO

I believe.

Oh - and just on random speculation, an Auger (a type of Drill) would have a helical form.

and would also have the same view from above when it is being turned as in the final part of the message.

if you look closely at the screenshot or move your computer screen about you can just about see the outline tailing off at a point after the line. Similar to an auger or radar. Or a corkscrew. Maybe the good people at MC came up with this one at their Christmas party! Laughing

A simple, but maybe not the quickest, way to do it would be to hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard at exactly the same time that the image appears on your screen. This will take a copy of whatever's on your screen at the time. You can then just paste it into a graphics program like MsPaint.

I could be completely off-base, but if CT is talking about flying, couldn't the MOD be referring to the three-letter airport code?

For whatever it's worth, a quick Google reveals that MOD is the airport code for Municipal Airport in Modesto, California.

hey, thanks for the help! the animation starts with:
"MMM MMMMMM" guess that why the M's are bold, now as for the e's.....

edit: the 2nd set of rotating letters starts with:
"E EEEEEEE EEEEE"

the 3rd one just starts with all a's.

omg, i'm so not going to get the rest...too....hard.....!

edit2: i stuck with it, and got the 4th one. this one is not one letter over and over.
"coa gw xsy hucps" i think it's a pure start, but it's hard to tell.(and the extra letter in the rotation gets added before the first "c", but after the string i got.

as far as the MOD goes, we had 4 points around key square. this key is shown with 4 points in a straight line next to the key. do we need to move our plotted lines???i didnt see how that could work, but who knows.

You could use Flash Movie Player which enables the motion to be paused, backed up etc.

Its available here

This is what was in my head between now and my last post. Everything keeps going to 333. I've tried quiet a few things to decipher the string, with no luck. I keep getting "ME" as the bigger message too. 3
Tried "Von" over and over as the string(only 3 letter pxc name, correct?); nothing. tried combedthunderclap. nothing. 42 letters in the string....42/ by, 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 14, &21. 42/3=14.....where's my coffee.

Here's what I've been trying quickly just now: adjusting the letters according to the number string lengths.

Taking the letter string and ROTting each letter forwards or backwards a different amount according to different schemes produces the following gibberish for the first few letters of the string ("+s only" means only ROTting forwards, "+/-" ROTs in forwards for + number strings and backwards for - ones, while "-/+" reverses this...):

1. Using just the length of the relevant number string:
Code:
8,8,5,10,13,11,2,20 <- number string length
NZGZHWCZ <- +s only
NZWFHWCX <- +/-
XJG      <- -/+

2. Using the length of the number string modded by 4, but remainder from 1 to 4:
Code:

44121324 <- % 4 of NSL
JVCRVOCJ <- +s only
JVANTOCB <- +/-
BNCR     <- -/+

3. Using the length of the number string modded by 4, but remainder from 0 to 3:
Code:

001213202 <- %4 of NSL, 0-3
FRCRVOCF  <- +s only
FRANTOCFJ <- +/-
FRCRT     <- -/+

Let me know if you're confused... Smile

no, i got you. (mostly) i made an excel file with the string, (and added all 26m letters for a full ROT) and still get nothing. I think we have the "key" now we need the code. oh, and i think the middle part of the new LoB page night be related to Codon.... there's even a picture of a dna "map" kinda looks like a reverse version of the LAST part of the LoB update (with the swirrls)

Hmm, one way of tying codons/DNA together with MODs and the letters is to simply MOD(4) each letter down to 0>3 (i.e. A is 0, B is 1 ... E is 0, F is 1, G is 2...) and then associate these with the 4 DNA bases (A/C/G/T?) - then maybe some DNA molecule is produced that has a place name as its name or something I don't really know now.

I'm not a molecular biologist (phew), so this is all to be treated as random spec. But some simple maths would mean that there are 14 triplets/codons as a result (14 / 3) - does this sound plusible then to anyone with the knowledge?

Trout me if this has been suggested, but I didn't see it..

The four dots under the 'mod' animation might not be indicating the number 4.

When I saw it, I thought of the period separated string on card #84:
27.55.25.34.4.43.500.15.18.55.13.1.10.30.56.55.39.21.7.16.27.55.25.69.29.35.62.55

Perhaps these 28 numbers have to be modded to produce an order from the letters from the previous key walks?

dots

That seems a bit obscure, even for MC.
