Oh yeah, we tried the wandering thing today - let's just say windchill's a b*tch, and there'll be none of that Smile

Ok so I'm quite keen on ice skating and pizza (perhaps pizza then ice skating?) One thing i"m not keen on, however, is the cold (and booyyy is it cold out there), what's the wind like up around Wollman Rink? I saw Rockefeller was really sheltered, and we've yet to go up the top, but we're going to save that for night time when we can get the lights.

(oh yeah, the Knicks pulled out all the stops for us tonight - what a great game to have seen! a blowout against the heat, 116 to 90 something)

So can anyone name a great pizza place near wollman rink?

Yeah you're timing is just perfect - today was the coldest day of the year in NYC (so far). The wind tends to kick up really fiercely when you're amongst the skyscrapers, they form artificial canyons that do funny things with the air currents. Shouldn't be as bad near Wollman rink, it's sort of in the bottom of a bowl-shaped terrain, surrounded by trees, plus it's supposed to be quite a bit warmer tomorrow (though not "warm" by any stretch).

Aaaaand I'm talking to you in chat now, so I'll shut up and edit later if need be Very Happy

Ok so after discussion with the locals (Bags):

Food then Iceskating! We're going to meet at Angelos on 57th street (between 7th and 6th) for Pizza at Midday, then move on to the iceskating rink of our choice from there!

So far I have Bags, Tomtom, Alzheimers, Myself, if you're keen on joining us just come along! I'm sure you'll figure out who we all are Smile
