[SPEC] The Tattoo

Symbol for Antimony

Quote:
The metal Antimony symbolizes the animal nature or wild spirit of man and nature, and it was often symbolized by the wolf.

The name antimony is derived from the Greek words anti and monos, which together mean not alone, because it rarely occurs naturally in pure form.

The stable form of antimony is a blue-white metalloid.

For many alchemists, especially Isaac Newton, the metal Antimony became a more potent form of Mercury with which to work transformation. They were fascinated by a property of Antimony to form a cyrstalline star (the Star Regulus) under certain conditions. For alchemists, of course, that symbolized the quintessence of matter.

Antimony star

Hmm, rather reminds me of that spinning star ball on Richie's site...

a blue god, bluish metal...

Besides there being a trident in the tattoo drawing, the glyph for Antimony resembles a trident. The God Lord Shiva, from which Rama (the 'blue' god) descends via Vishnu, carries a trident (as does the Greek God Poseidon). Also, there are tridents in the code of the dropped NYC note.

Or maybe Brother Sladius gave us part of the answer in his blog

I have to agree there. That is the symbol for Antimony (which maybe where our PM got the image) but it seems Sladius laid out the meaning we're supposed to have.

Well, the tattoo is on the 'broad' from the bar. She obviously works for the SoL, as she knew the guy in the alley with the gun. The note with the code flew out of her sleeve, Richie said.

I think antimony means something different to the SoL than it does to Brother Sladius, and he himself states "its meaning varies with its position as well as combinations with other symbols."

There is another possiblity. Sladius could be the mole....
