got my first reply from Eva earlier:

Quote:
Hi Finn!!

I think Erwin does like boats and planes, in fact I'm sure he got on one - he could be anywhere and everywhere right now! So please look out for him, if you see him or anything else that's been lost - take a photo and send it to me. I like photos and I kind of feel a bit lost myself. I also like the sound of Hee-nay!!

be seeing you

Eva

here's the original email i sent:
Quote:
Hi, Eva. My name is Finn. I was poking around and found your blog today. I'm sorry to hear you lost your cat. I have a cat, too. His name is Hee-nay (heh, I also like to use made up words for names.). I know what you mean about not really owning your cat. Mine thinks that he's the reason everyone gets up in the morning. Anyway, I just wanted to say a fast hello and send you my best wishes. I wish I could help in the search for Erwin, but I doubt he cares much for boats or planes, so he wouldn't be hanging around my neighborhood. However, if there's anything at all I can do to help, let me know.

Finn

Eva responded to my email with a sort of stock response:

Quote:
Hi Amy

I can't believe some one's actually reading my blog!
Thanks for dropping me a line. I'll put up some more stuff soon.

Be seeing you

Eva

With little punctuation, but a promise of future content. Hooray.[/quote]

I tried telling Eva 'bout the video, and this is what I got back.
Quote:
Hello Popsicle

I really don't know what that video is - it's really freaky. All I can think is that someone took the photo off the poster I put up and made some kind of video out of it. But then it's not the same picture as in the poster. I don't know what's going on at the moment. There's some really weird things happening.

Hello Eva,
I just saw a rather strange video which I recieved in an anonymous e-mail. It showed a picture of your cat, and multiple clues that led me to your blog. In case you are wondering, the email was sent from coreSPLATsubject18027.net.
Attatched is the video I recieved.
Hope this helps,
Popsicle

Thanks for offering to help. send me a photo - that might cheer me up. I'll put it on my blog.

Hi Eva,

Just been reading your blog.
Sorry to hear about your cat Erwin. If I can be of any help please let
me know.

Brian.

Seems like the same answer she gives everyone although in this case she just says "send me a picture" - no mention of a cat

Hi Josh

Thanks for your message, it's really nice to find that people care! I can't go out at the moment so if you see anything unusual take a photo and send it to me.

Hi Eva,

My name is Josh. I found your site on the internet and it really inspired me to write to you. You seem like a very cool girl. I'm sorry about your missing cat. I will keep my eyes peeled for him though. Have you checked around the tree where you saw him last? If you ever want to chat, don't hesitate to email me back.

Pretty generic, but she does seem to be consistently asking for a picture.

Maybe we should start doing what she is saying, Whoever has a furry black and white cat should snap a quick pic and send it off. Maybe once she gets these the arg can continue more?

EDIT: I sent off this email, and attached 4 pictures of my cat. Hopefully we can get more background info as well.

Hey Eva,

In the mean time, I'll send you a pic or 2 of my little kitty. She's black and white like yours and her name is Cozette (like Cosette in Le Mis). Maybe she can help cheer you up as well! She does funny things and dissapearring acts like Erwin.

Erwin is an interesting name. How did you come up with it?

-Jennifer

Good idea. Did you include yourself in the pic? She seems to want confirmation that we are actually taking pictures.

Hi Tobias!

OMG! Can you send me a photo of Bruce?

Maybe it's Erwin...but then he is definitely a boy and I don't think he's really into Springsteen - although he was 'born to run'! - he's more of a Glenn Miller fan. Not sure if he really likes to fly!

Anyway send me a pic and I'll put it on my blog.

be seeing you

Eva,

I spent the christmas holidays close to Bristol at the house of my relatives in Filton.

Well, I ran across a cat who followed me the way home that one cold winter day. I took her with me to Europe, at the moment the cat is lying on my windows ill. I call her Bruce, idolizing the great Bruce Springsteen.

I read your blog and it came to my mind, that Bruce ist actually your cat, Erwin. Oh my god. I kidnapped him.

Please tell me what to do now! I'm broken-hearted..

Kind regards,
Tobias

Ok we got a nut job here she wants me to take a picture of my cat craping!!!!!

Erwin definitely has a tail although it's a bit of a short rubbishy one and it's often a bit mucky. Your cat Stumpy sounds like a source of constant pleasure for you and a true companion. Can you take a photo of him and send it to me ...caught in the act if possible.

EDIT

That implies that she definitely wants a picture that was taken by you and not swiped off the internet, each time somebody has mentioned a detail she has mentioned that she wants a photo of that detail specifically or you in the photo.

I don't have a cat. Bugger.

Thank you for making up your own poster to help find Erwin! I think Erwin could be anywhere and it's great that you and your friends want to help.
Looking at your email I would also suggest that you ask your doctor to up your medication by a couple of micrograms.

Hello there,

I came across your site when browsing for earwig scented wallpaper, you
know, the earlier slow release variety, not the scratch and sniff popular in
the 1980s. In any case, I would rather like to help you fine Mr. Erwin. In
fact I think i may have seen him just this evening, although it could have
been a badger or a small car. But he vanished Cheshirely, but with less
grinning and big..ness, no... he was cat-size, as you so wisely put it. I
have included in this electro mail another home fashioned Erwin finder
beckoning sheet, which I hope can aid our worthy cause outside of your local
area.

With much Erwin-hoping-to-find-egness,

ollie

-(I make no excuses for my email, other than it was 10 to 3 in the morning and I was very Very bored! Shocked )
