Hi Russell
Thanks for sending the pic of you and your cat - I've put it in my gallery. And yeh you're right - it's been an odd week.
I haven't had any definite leads as to where Erwin is but lots of pics from people which really does help! I don't know how I did my foot in, I was going down some steps and then I woke up at home I think it must have been Prof. Wilson who brought me back and bandaged me - but I can't be sure.

Hi Luke
Ofcourse! I'd forgotten all about that RFID thing. I'll have a search for the number, hope I haven't lost it! I'm hopping around here on one foot. Is there any way of finding out RFID numbers in lost animals on the net? How do they trace them? Maybe if he went abroad they'd have found him at customs or something - I don't know how it works. Can you find out for me? Maybe put a message on my blog.

Hey eva, here's a thought, do you have erwin's RFID tag number? i might be
able to help using that.. or have you already searched for him this way?
sorry if it's old ground!
Thanks, Luke
the fact that she's urging me to put it up on her blog makes me think that it might be an avenue worth exploring.. what are your thoughts?

Stinkyfinger,
I also emailed her about the RFID tag last night. Great minds think alike? She replied with a very similar message.

I'd forgotten about the RFID chip. I'm looking for the number but I can't find it at the moment. I don't know how they work really. Can you find out and let me know - maybe put a message on my blog.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find out how to access the national database. I'm sure we will need the chip number from Eva first if we are going to get anywhere.

Been checking up this RFID stuff, she mentioned she registered with the RSPCA, this would put her on the PetLog database:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/meet/petlog.html
In the Lost and Found section there is this entry an for a male shorthair domestic cat lost in Bristol at 12.00am on the 13th Jan (the day Geist officially went live), it says colour not available on registration form though.

The problem is, according to her blog she lost her cat way before that--she posted about it on her blog on December 11th, 2006. However, it may just be that the PMs leased the cat on that night (which would make sense)... Hm.

True, and also she says she hasn't reported it missing yet. Just thought the 12.00 on the 13th was quite a coincidence.

Got this this morning:
Quote:
Hi Petunia
Thanks for your message, that's really kind of you!
Mmm someone else mentioned this Keir Jones guy...but like you say you do get all sorts of weirdos on the Internet! Not including people like you ofcourse! It's nice to know people are looking out for me (and yes it's also nice to get food from Prof. Wilson even though he brought me lots of low fat stuff - is he trying to say I need to lose weight? I know my bum's a bit big but...anyway I totally trust him - funny though, I haven't actually seen him since before the accident, he just left me a note and the food.

And also this, which was apparently sent to the wrong person :

Hi Kevin
I've been looking for the RFID number but still can't find it. I might have used my birthday as part of it but i erally can't remember - having trouble remembering a lot at the moment.
Thanks for your help

How long are RFID #s, anyway?

Sadness. Asked Eva some questions, got one non-answer:
Quote:
Hi Amy
Nice to hear from you. No I can't remember anything after I was going down the steps- my memory's been a bit odd recently - I know, it's really a bit creepy. Prof. Wilson is really kind and I totally trust him but I wouldn't want him to see me passed out! He'd probably think I was drunk!

Hey Eva,
I just heard about your foot. Terribly sorry to hear about that. I
have terrible luck with foot injuries myself - recovered from one
recently, in fact. Can you remember anything before waking up all
taken care of? Maybe there's a clue in there somewhere about what
happened.
Professor Wilson sounds like an incredibly considerate person. I was
wondering, though, what's he a professor of?
Get well soon,
Amy
Other than I guess maybe the aliens stole her memories.[/quote]

Um, we should try searching some kind of RFID database for 180287... Even if its just a little part of the number, it'll help us narrow it down. /notsureifthereisactuallyanrfiddatabase

It's not looking good for the RFID track. Apparently PetLog (and Pet-ID in the U.S.) won't let just anybody peek at their database:
"This is on hand 24 hours a day to authorised bodies such as animal wardens or animal welfare centres..." (from http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/meet/petlog.html )
And now that I think about it, I had my dog chipped and it's all automatic - not like they let you pick your own ID#. Nor should you need to know the ID# for an "authorised body" to look you up in the database and see if your pet's been found. So I kind of doubt Eva will find that # anytime soon.
I like the idea, though. What if Eva had her own RFID chip, with her birthday as the ID#, and didn't know it? Ooo.

Got this today...
Quote:
Hi Josh
That's a bit weird what you're saying - about someone deliberately hurting me. I had a really bad head ache at the time, like a migraine, and I couldn't see properly. I was going down some steps, looking for Erwin, and kind of felt something pulling or pushing me and I can't remember any more. I don't remember seeing any one else around. maybe someone came up behind me and pushed me but who would do that to me?

I would speculate that she has definitely been of victim of something/someone. Although, she did say in her blog that she has "a kind of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome". I'm not sure if that could have had something to do with what happened. Too bad we can't get in touch with Professor Wilson.
