[WEBSITE] Kenkon Corps.

This website was found after seeing the companies name on the tag on the Yuki toy:

http://www.kenkon.net/

Upon first inspection, it seems to be half done, only the 'index', 'about us' and 'ethics' webpages are done.

Kenkon

Well, now we know what was probably written on the lamp (Kenkon). And what the K in Wilson's journal may be referring to.

I noticed this on their About Us page:

Quote:
Bacterial/microbic augmentation of human abilities.

There is also a page labeled Keiretsu System. I googled it and got this definition:

Quote:
a Japanese term for a set of companies with interlocking business relationships and shareholdings. In Japanese the term means also a company that has many branches

So... was Kenkon added to Eva's photo later or did she have a Kenkon lamp at home? Shocked

Whoops--accidentally posted this in the Yuki topic, but the YouKin bot says "Kenkon owns Youkin" when asked "who is kenkon?"

This probably means nothing, but the Kenkon logo animation freezes for just a second. I took a printscreen of it when it freezes:

They didn't line up the animation properly methinks.

ETA: Just disassembled the SWF logo and it looks like they used some kind of template to add in the logo animation. There are some left over comments in there but nothing out of the ordinary.

I do wonder what bacteria that might be?

Upon reading:
Code:
<td><a><img src="images/d1.gif" width="66" height="17" border="0"></a></td>
<td><a><img src="images/d2.gif" width="57" height="17" border="0"></a></td>
<td><a><img src="images/d3.gif" width="43" height="17" border="0"></a></td>
<td><a><img src="images/d4.gif" width="76" height="20" border="0"></a></td>
<td><a><img src="images/d6.gif" width="59" height="18" border="0"></a></td>
<td>&nbsp;</td>

I also got to wonder what had happened with images/d5.gif. It turned out to read "STRUCTURE". Why was it removed?

From wikipedia:

Quote:
Reprogenetics is a term referring to the merging of reproductive and genetic technologies expected to happen in the near future as techniques like preimplantation genetic diagnosis and embryo selection become more available and more powerful. The term was coined by Lee M. Silver, a professor of molecular biology at Princeton University, in his 1997 book Remaking Eden.

Gatacca anyone?

Also do you think it's relevant that they sopelled "Chromosome" incorrectly, or just a typo?

Incidentally, this site:

http://www.hkust.se/ogkk/kenkon.html

has a good picture of the Japanese symbol "KenKon" which means Heaven/Earth.

Very clever.
