[UPDATE] Library of Babel - To Begin.
The play's the thing

There's a new update on the Library of Babel page. In it, it references the fact that nothing seems to be going on and how we're looking for someplace to start on the search for the actual Cube here on Earth. There's also a lot of literary references and the following puzzle at the end of it.

Code:
h a m l e t w i l l i a m s h a k e s p e a r e t h e w
o n d e r f u l o j a m e s t h u r b e r t h e l i b r
a r y o f b a b e l j o r g e l u i s b o r g e s h i s
t o r y o f t h e l a n d c a l l e d u q b a r s i l a
s h a s l a m p a p i l l o n h e n r i c h a r r i e r
e o h w h i s t l e a n d i l l c o m e t o y o u m y l
a d m o n t a g u e r h o d e s j a m e s

      127   77   28   64   160   176   11   30

Time to get cracking, people. Looks like vacation time is over.

EDIT: You can move the letters around at the end. The letters have numbers over them when you click on them. See totoro's post for the answer

using the numbers and matching them with the text that's left above them it says:

When you say

'secret location code'
what do you mean? Do you mean the code we supposed was a
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
beale cypher
from the card with secret location books?

So did you just apply the code to letters in the text on the site?

Hmm, I wonder if the words are just coincidence... or if CT really did put the cypher on the card.

This game hurts my head as much as work today!! Which goes to say my brain is next to useless really, so I'll just go away!! Confused

yep, i used what Axys had. and if it's not all the text combined, it could be just one!
Hamlet, William Shakespeare
The wonderful O, James Thurber
The library of babel, Jorge Luis Borges (lol, tried MANY times)
History of the land called Uqbar, Silas Haslam
Papillon, Henri Charriere
Oh whistle and I'll come to you my lad, Montague Rhodes James
(or a combo of all 6, but i SOOOO hope not.)

You guys won't believe it... It was something we tried ages ago...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The book titles and author names from Secret Location, however we missed "Pere" from Dumas's name... Big props to Flabyo from perplexorum for spotting it! Smile

Nice one!

I suppose that the other Meta Puzzles to solve are the numbers on the wave 4 cards, the playing cards on prime number cards.... and some others that I can't think of?

now I get it, CT was telling us to use title followed by author's FULL name, not just last name like the card.
lol, CT's telling us how dumb we are!

Worshippy Rock On if you only knew how much sleep i've lost because of this! CONGRADULATIONS!

and for the lazy:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

five fingers point:
half the world
realm
region
feature
last mystery

so these are the 5 steps we need to find the cube. i'm sure about 1. (not sure about 2.) 3 came from S. after San Fran. and we just got #4 from the 3P last week. i'm guessing that all we need is the "last mystery"
so my info is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1. top hemesphere
2.??
3.North America
4.arboreal area
5.....

shoot me down now if i'm wrong. Very Happy
oh and i might have #'s 2 and 3 wrong. I feel like i need more info between 3 and 4. like a certain state, or lol, region.

I'd go for your 3 being 3... which gives that extra detail for 3 to lead to your 4, which seems to make sense.

But how do the other card artifacts figure into that?

Also, do you mind pointing me to something where I could find how you came to your number 3. I wasn't around for the actual event but hadn't seen anything that registered as significant when I read up on it!

Why would Sente give us clues about where to find the cube?

What he says is:

Quote:
Two days ago, an energy surge occurred here in Perplex City, blacking out many city blocks. When power was restored, we found that the surge had briefly created a wormhole, originating here and terminating somewhere in North America.

But I imagine that the cube has now been moved and hidden elsewhere.
Sorry!

OK, following the story then (CT having the cube, and landing in *NY*> then the 3P going to N.America.) how could CT leave the country? ok, the cube called him a cab, and got his clothes, sure, but it had no photo of him, therefore, no passport.
