I really think there's something to be had with that mug. There's many specific references to it throughout the site, where-as I have yet to see the T-shirts mentioned by name at all.
It seems like a pretty good plant for some data. Maybe some way to smuggle information without the people watching them finding out.

I hate to dissapoint, but there the likelihood of anything clue-wise coming from the stuff on the store-front is extremely low.
It is a simple CafePress storefront, who I have used before in the past. They basically print an image that you upload onto a variety of different merchandise. What you see on the preview images of the mug and t-shirt is exactly what will be on the end product - nothing more, nothing less.

Oh, ok makes sense. I thought it was shipped to the designer first.
Gotchya.
Still a pretty snazzy mug.

It doesn't matter to me! I think this whole thing is cool and I believe the mug will be a nice souvenir! Got an email today saying it had been shipped. I'll let you know when I get it.

Besides, its a good way to support the ARG, although this one has a number of corporate sponsors anyway.

Pat REALLY reminds me of my biology 2 teacher.
They are both really hard to follow.

My mug came in the mail yesterday. There was nothing of significance with it. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and the only package marking was the printed mailing label. The receipt was standard with nothing unusual on it. It does look just like those in the Timehole videos and so I am very happy with it!

clues in photo gallery? This was a dead end, I think...
The japanese text in the photo gallery http://www.timehole.co.uk/7.html
やさしく さわってね (transcribed by my friend Karl). He got
"It is easy; It touches" from an auto-translator, http://excite.co.jp/world/
and phonetically the text comes out as yasashiku sawattene, which I'd hoped might be pronouncable English. Seems not.
My other theory was that the (Japanese) chat bot http://www.youkin.org/ might help, since I looked at the bot hosting site and it mentioned some capabilities with Japanese. But all I get is "I have no answer for that".
Ah, well. Worth a try
(hope the Japanese characters come through OK... otherwise, check out the wiki)

Question: Who are Quantum Spy and Polly Pocket ? Could this be a clue to a directory or page at http://www.timehole.uk.co/ ?

It is possible that they are just test accounts to make sure the forum was working. They might just be silly names they made up for the testing. If you look at their profiles they've only logged in the day they created their account, and only for a short time.
So if we were supposed to send a message to them or something...I dont think they'd get it because it doesnt look like they will be logging on again

Pat has posted a new message on the timehole forums:

We're glad to see that Eva's got her computer working again, we were worried. She still seems stressed though. We're still working on our lost cat theory. It seems it is possible for a cat to make it to the US although we're still not sure how Erwin got there. We can't work out who's been monitoring Eva, it seems to be more than just RFID. Dave keeps going on about this Keir Jones bloke I think Dave's jealous, personally I think he's ok. Someone else is behind all this and it doesn't look as if it's Bryan Wilson, he looks pretty harmless to me. We've been busy...doing something.
Reckon that "something" may be related to We Love Beef?

I suspect more a unified theory of Erwin's ability to travel and some other things more related to their 'research'.
