Hana just updated her blog.

Quote:
I risked everything to smuggle the Lonestar files out of the Pentagon. I posted them below because I think they may contain hidden information that leads to one of the codes to get inside the voting system.

Please don't spread these files widely - it could be dangerous.

And if you didn't receive an instruction from me, hang tight. I'm working on something that could blow this thing wide open. The rest of you will hear from me shortly.

EDIT:

They got the second code over at the 9th wonder boards.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Lac Long Quan

Credit goes to Vorsuc

holy crap. those guys at 9th wonders are amazing. anyway, the "secret file" is a very interesting read if you read the comics that go along with it.

For those who may not be following along at 9th Wonder, trianglman posted a recap:

Quote:
Cliffnotes recap:
The password for the first box (CLSx172) was guessed by Wolfbro (IIRC, apologies if i got names confused) before the most recent post on hana's site. This code was given originally in the Heroes 360 split screen thing during the "The Fix" episode as a password to the primatech back end site.

About 10-15 minutes after the new post was added to hana's site with the Lone Star file. Several people drew the connection Lac Long Quan = Lac King Dragon (who in Vietnamese legend married Au Co the fairy).

Since then we have been digging and hacking at everything in the posts.
Some notable highlights include:

The main image has been changed twice since it first went live and the post card image has changed once (removing a second post card).

Lots of speculation over what the post cards actually mean, with the consensus being that it is military code giving the recipient command of the Au Co mission.

AFR 207-8 was found to be referred to in an actual military document written by a Mr. Bennet (not the same spelling as HRG though ). To find this do a google search for "IAW AFR 207-8"

The documents appear to be pretty accurately recreated, all of the acronyms and other things in the document header are very accurate. The Vietnamese in the post card matches what we would expect in a military issue post card (random pointless rules, a "We will examine this and censor as needed" clause, etc.)

Nothing so far directly pointing toward the third password though...

Any general consensus on if the third password has been given already and just needs to be figured out or if it will be something given out in the future that will lead us to it?

The first one makes sense, but I would have never have thought to use it. It was the one password that was never really used in the hacking Primatech phase. Good on them for remembering it.

The second one is a little more obvious since Hana's post yesterday was screaming "there's something hidden here, figure it out". I was happy that I figured it out without cheating. Took a damn long time, but its awesome to score one on your own merits, even if someone (probably several someones) beat you to it first.

The third one, I have no idea. I've been trying entering in references from Hiro's blog and the subsequent emails. No dice. Not even sure where to start looking after that. I'm guessing that it just hasn't been revealed yet. Thoughts?

Not sure if this has been mentioned, trying to catch up but...
After entering the first two pw's, I was sent another email
Subject:Lonestar Files
There's something about the Lonestar file that's not quite right. With all the information I hear, it's sometimes hard to tell where reality ends and imagination begins, but I'm convinced there's "more than meets the eye" when it comes to these documents.

I know you have what it takes to figure this out.

The complete dossier is at www.samantha48616e61.com. Don't waste a minute. Time is running out.

HG

Maybe it's an image puzzle rather than a textual/research puzzle? stegged? hidden image/text? Anyone explore this route?

Sorry for the double, but new post up on Hana's blog:

I'm pretty sure that this our man:

http://brianundaunted.imeem.com

From what I can gather, he's Linderman's top engineer and the brains behind the new voting system. I think he may have buried information on his profile that can lead to one or more of the codes I need to access the backend of the voting tool so we can stop them from rigging the election.

I know that some of you haven't heard from me yet, but you will. Keep an eye out for me. I'm everywhere.

That blog is quite impressive. Do you guys notice all the little references to Heroes, the Beatles, ect? Also, the poem is Shakespeare's Sonnet #29. Oh, and check out what he names his categories. and what does "Res IPsum Loquitar" mean? Sounds like an anagram or latin or something.

I wonder who NBC is working with to create all this.

The part about muskets is a reference to Francis Bacon and his discourse on binary encoding. And for those who don't want to read the whole sonnett :

You're right! I just noticed that. It's a code. Another puzzle hidden within a poem.

In case anyone doesn't see what we see, there are letters missing from the poem.

uh...unless there's something else?

Okay, I've already deleted my amazing webcam collection, so the only reason you'd be here is if you figured out where to look by reading my blog, which means nothing more than you've got the problem-solving ability of the average gerbil, but hey, congrats anyway, here's your piece of cheese or whatever the hell gerbils eat: MIRROR, MINUS ONES

Look pointless to you? That's because it is. Unless you find out the number to apply it to, at which point it becomes the most valuable password you've ever eye-fondled in your life. Unfortunately for you, the missing number is hidden somewhere on my Flickr page. And where is that? I'll be nice this time and give you the first part: http://www.flickr.com/photos/_ ______/ What goes in the blank? Why, the next step in the following sequence!: 6 = 16 = 1116 = 3116 = 132116 = _______

Yeah, yeah, I'm a pain in the butt, right? Well, guess what, trying to figure out why you meatbags think like you do is ten times as hard.

Keep bidding.

A math puzzle. It almost looks like a Fibonacci number, but i suppose it's something different than that.

A math puzzle. That puzzle sounds almost like that math puzzle in the Da Vinci Code. i forgot what it was called. it started with a "f".
Fibonacci sequence

Edit : damn, time to leave. I'll work on this on the train ride home. FYI - I watched both videos and didn't notice anything special about either of them.

They already got this part over on the 9th wonder forums.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
sounding out the numbers gets you the correct sequence.
6 = (one six) 16 = (one one, one six) 1116 ect.
until you get 132116 (three one(s), one three, one two, one six) 31131216
http://flickr.com/photos/31131216

Then . . .

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the number on the boat is 38 2x SLC
"MIRROR, MINUS ONES", and you have CLSX172, our first code
