Heh. Nah It probably wasn't that significant, I think they just set to it to be a different F key per borough of new york. Although F12 was used twice, and the others were F8 and F5. I would guess they were just randomly picked.

There doesn't seem to be any ARGish elements to votepetrelli.com yet. I think NBC are just trying to make some money out of the Vote Petrelli online store. Can't argue with that, but the site is so large it feels like there should be something there.

that's how i feel too. The entire site feels so fake (i know its not supposed to feel real, but..) and it looks like there must be something hidden on the site. This dry run of an experience has gone through all levels of difficulty, from simple to amazingly complex. Perhaps there is something there, we're just not looking hard enough. or it could be a time related thing. perhaps it'll be updated as events happen in the series.

Actually, if you think about it - Nathan's not been involved in this at all so far, except by association. (It's his election we're ruining. *g*) It would make sense to me that if Hana's intentions were to hide information in his site, that she would need time to do it.

Wired this month mentions the "alternate-reality" game being run with Heroes as part of NBC's strategy. (the cover article is about Hiro) It just mentions that there is a game. This caught my attention because it treated the arg like just another well-known way to promote the show. I'm used to articles that assume no one knows what an ARG is.

If it was a full ARG, then the player actions could influence the outcome, couldn't it? And wouldn't we have reciprocal character communication with players?
I still get the feeling that this is more of an extension of the tv show, an ARE (Alternate Realty Experience) that gives the internet fans more to chew on (especially during the summer hiatus) without taking anything away from the broadcast (those who don't hang out online won't know what they are missing).
Love the Heroes graphic novels.
Looks like Smallville is doing the same thing (graphic novels) but with blatent use of the Yaris vehicle (sponsor) in the script. And then they are showing the graphic novel as a commercial during the broadcast (but sometimes the dialogue is flashed too quickly).

Yesterdays episode was awesome, I hope that season 2 is not too dissimilar to it [aka I hope that bomb 'aint stopped!] I noticed that they briefly showed a primatech paper business card with the website on it but a quick scan of the site shows nothing new.
I got this e-mail from Hana:
Quote:
Keep up with Nathan Petrelli's campaign for Congress from your mobile device. Visit our WAP site @ mobi.votepetrelli.com
After figuring out WAP on my phone, I found that you can enter your phone number to receive texts messages and apparently phone calls too that keep you up to date on the election.
You can go straight to mobi.votepetrelli.com in your browser instead of your phone, but I just wanted to do it the hard way. It's about time I learnt how to use my phone.
Also, all the puzzles have been removed from Hiro's blog.

Site update Dr. Mohinder Suresh has updated his site activating evolution
He has a gentle plea aimed at the trolls attacking the wiki and has added a new page for some of the letters that he has received.

Think we should make sure more people know that Petrelli is Linderman's pawn.
Any ideas how to get the word out? E-mail them back to me.

Easy. Hack his campaign website. Put up videos of Petrelli meeting
with Linderman in place of his campaign videos. Change the wording on
his bio and his values, etc to show what Linderman is really trying to
do.
Edit to add: Found the last of Isaac's paintings in Linderman's collection from the Casino VIP access. For those of you without that access, all the pictures are on my flickr in my Heroes360 set.

I just received the same message....I'm going to email her saying we should make actual posters to hang up and banners for websites.
I can't text as I don't live in the US and I can only text to phone numbers not SMS addresses.

I say she gets on tv, just like she did for the chats... say she's rigging the election... which starts a major investigation. After a nice little paper trail (easily fed them by Hana), it would lead them directly to Linderman, and obviously would show that he wants petrelli to win

VotePetrelli.com hey, I've got a theory....
on votepetrelli, they have another form...
Is it possible to see where that information is going, to see if we should fill out that one as well as the ones we've already filled out?

The latest buzz concerns a site which has yet to come online.
Word is that YamagatoFellowship.org will be launching on Monday. Yamagato Industries being the company that Hiro's family (and Ando) work for.
It redirects to a 404 right now.
I have no idea how people discover this stuff.

The Yamagato site was mentioned in an article on Heroes in Entertainment Weekly.
