Anyone know if the Louisiana coin has been found?

Not sure if it's been found or DP didn't feel like placing it before they gave the last clue, but the Pitt coin was not there, and that last clue didn't leave any guessing room. I entered the code from my laptop a 3 minute walk from the location, and people starting swarming the area right after the clue was released. I bumped into an alumnus of my fraternity who said that he had been searching the same spot at 2 in the afternoon to no avail, so I'm a bit peeved at DP for misleading me when they told me that I could simply sign in to see if it had been found or not....

Unless somebody found it a couple days ago and doesn't feel like claiming it, but that's just plain mean.

Hey, kids.

Just got back from my final search in the Chicago area. As early as it was, the place was crawling with hunters from as far away as the Wisconsin Dells.

Considering where I think the coin is, it's either been taken already, or hasn't been placed. But with the swarm of people scouring Lincoln park, I can't be assed to do more. I put in my due diligence since Saturday, I've gone over the same benches with my hands twice...I'm done. I'll leave it to the poor dells kids who were scouring every bench from North Ave. up to win if it hasn't been won already

Good luck to the remaining folks, and don't let the griefers get you down.

Are you CERTAIN you were at the right place? Some of those last clues are kind of misleading?

Yeah, I was all over the New York coin's area.. if it was there, I would've found it.. have a feeling it was put there this morning, as I didn't even see footprints around the area-- or maybe even tonight, as someone said that they are out by midnight tonight...
Too many questions to make another 5 hour round trip though.. I'm goin back to Mountain Dew...

I would be interested to see how exactly DP figured out which region people needed to look in. They put me in the Pitt region even though my address was in NJ, and I was MUCH closer to Philly than Pitt. And someone else on this forum who was from Pitt was given DC clues. Strange stuff.

Oh I hate this stuff! Yuck, I can't believe I am actually buying this stuff and not drinking it.

Edit: I don't even think my clues are for Indiana. one of my clues is about the sea. There's no sea anywhere near Indiana.

Man, is it just me that doesn't trust guests anymore or what? I just can't trust anybody that can't sign up for a forum. I guess Some Pm's have ruined that for me.

We found the container the coin was in with a paper and pencil to log your find 2/20/2007 at about 7pm. We had been searching this exact spot for almost a week, just didn't know what we were looking for, It could have been there all along. The 30th clue confirms the site. We were second to find....DP doesn't pay nothing for second...lol

Right where the 30th clue tells you it is Wink

Some people may want to continue the hunt and find it.
