Western Canada Coin

Okay I was there at 5:00 am this morning and went back again for this afternoon with other family members to make suer I wasn't right out to lunch.

All the clues point to a park that has fencing and signage all over it that says it is closed due to the Icy conditions and will be closed til further notice. I phoned the info number on the sign and they told me they had no clue when it would reopen.

Now that being said you can get into the area (although that might be considered trespassing), and I searched the only logical place the clues lead to (and every where else), the coin was not anywhere to be found and there was no sign that it had been there.

I am wondering because the place is technically closed if they still would have placed the coin? If I call the drpepper hotline would they tell me if the coin had actually been placed?

I am so tired right now but I really need to know if the coin is out of my reach at this point or not.

The other problem I have is I may be completely wrong as to where it is because I have not seen a single person in the same area searching for it?

ok, plan and simple either no one has found a coin or its rigged for affiliates of dr pepper.
everyone on this forum posting they found the coin is completly full of shit, its all just for people to stop looking. the only one i can see being found would be the virtual clue, but then again why would they still ask you if you were calling to report in the physical or virtual clue on the phone number? i called and got different answers on the phone and im pretty sure the guys dont want any more calls and make up shit to get us to stop playing. ive heard no coins have been found, 20 have been found, 2 have been found, i dont know, i cant tell you, some have been found but i cant tell you which. and half the time they told me to check the webstie for coin info. seeing as that page does not exist doesnt that make every coin fair game. im sure they have experts making these games and im sure its not as easy as it seems and they want to mislead people. also keep in mind the conest ends like march 23rd or something. all a bunch of bullshit

haha look on wikipedias section of the hunt for more. a few have links and about 3 give answers to the clue along with the final loaction of the coin. i agree with mike and i also agree these people made those up. one says the coin was here---
The coin was in a small magnetic black box, stuck to a black leg of the table inside the oval in the White River State Park
i dobut they use small magnetic boxes, and how are you gonna tell me it was stuck under a table and no random person found it. that doesnt seem likley to me. chances are random people/homeless people found the coins. and if these were all in parks they would most likley need permission to do so. 1st that would leave the park rangers and workers out of the contest which is unfair, but how do we know they dont tell relatives or friends? chances are its rigged in some extent, and i guarantee every person that does win either shouldnt have, or had inside help

If you think this is a hoax, then you must be expecting some heavy legal action to fall on Dr.Pepper in the near future.

They're doing a major contest with rules and requirements. If they don't follow their legal obligations, then they're in big big trouble.

No the Hunt for More is fully legitimate. Just a bit frustrating and confusing at this point, a little rough. But it'll be resolved somehow...

ok well can you please explain what jake said? it seems all of the clues lead to pakrs of some kind, and a lot of talk about park rangers and what not has been brougth up. to avoid legal actions dr pepper would have to inform parc officials..... basically my question is how do we know people do not have inside help on this. and why do the dr pepper people keep on telling me to check the mother f*cking website for which coins have been found when theres nothing there

There's no doubt this thing is legit. The frustrating part is that they made the official rules way too wishy-washy in order to cover their own butts (the coin MAY be placed on the 21, at a time whenever we feel like it, but we MAY place the coin earlier, who knows?) Between that at the misinformation given by the operators regarding figuring out when the coin is found.

As far as some of the information being leaked, I wouldn't rule it out, especially with the fact that the virtual coin was found within 15 minutes or so of the number being given out, when the clue for that day in no way provided a location specific enough as required by the official rules.

On the other hand, people do get lucky all the time, so maybe everything was on the up and up, and the customer reps were just clueless. All I know is that I had a fun time figuring out the clues, up until we went to go look for the coin.

A for the idea, D for execution

yea the idea is sick, but then you later find out dr pepper is borderline retarded. and like someone brought up before i hope they get sued for illegally holding a contest on every park they did not get permission for. and then i hope i succesfully sue them for holding an unfair and illegal contest when they notifyed people beforehand(parkrangers/workers). screw finding a coin for a mil, all i have to do is go to court and i get 2 Razz

this just in guys, i get the same chick everytime i call and they put me on hold and when she comes on shes all out of breath and cant get the words out clearly. i think the rest of the workers killed themselves. i also hope each of their families pursue legal actions and sue those nazis out of business. as for myself i will make millions of them when the oppertunity presents itself, but for the meantime im never buying a dr pepper again and you guys should join in on my mission to put those mother fuckers out of business. we can start this world wide process by starting rumors all over the place that dr pepper is run by former nazi officials, and that a certain ingredient causes death, heart attacks and cancer. join the campaign guys, nazis have once again started a world war and the Americans are looking for a 3-0 shut out, whos with me. you can also join in with some catchy slogans listed below

F*ck pepper use salt.
dr. pepper never graduated from college
dr pepper is an illegally licensed doctor
dr. pepper has killed 14 million+ people
dr. pepper supports nazis, do you?
dr. pepper has never actually saved anyone
3 million babies are born prematurly every year due to dr. pepper
Every second 4 babies are born and 2 die from drinking dr. pepper
dr. pepper sucks ass
hitler drank dr. pepper
dr. pepper doesnt drink dr. pepper, he prefers coke

thats it for now, but i expect to pursue the same type of ad campiang that the tobacco people do with all those commercials and all those facts. im gonna need lots of support with this so get started everyone, make the nazis suffer

Questions about the rules

I have a question about the rules as stated on the Dr pepper website

Very HappyO NOT ENTER LOCKED OR CLOSED PREMISES OR PREMISES WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION.

Okay...at the time that the coin was SUPPOSEDLY found (2 am), the park is CLOSED!! Is that not against the rule as stated above? And if it is in violation of the rules of the game, isn't the Dr Pepper sponsor in direct volation of said rule as well????

I had fun taking part in this game up until the confusion with the whole is it found/is it still out there nonsense.

Re: Seattle coin- how do I know?

The rules say that the coins will not be placed until the 21st. How much was it worth? and it couldnt have been two days ago because the bug and the beast clue didnt come out until yesterday?
