The D.C. coin was on a lamp pedestal, the Chicago coin under a bench. I don't know where the S.F. coin was hidden.

All will become clear as winners are announced. We're talking a minimum value of $10k per coin, so if you were really serious about this, go check it out for yourself. I'm posting some progress for the entertainment of the rest of us idlers.

You mean the same winners that won't be announced until all coins have been claimed? Again, cite your sources. I've done my due diligence, both on the ground and on the boards. Considering I don't want more injuries, I'd like to hear where you're getting your spurious chicago info so I don't have to go out again.

As I've said, I've been out 7 times in four days. One of those days was a snowstorm. So put up or shut up.

I'm sorry you got snowed on. At least you've had an excuse to get outside, and have participated in an exciting adventure. Would $10k really have changed your life? For most people, it makes your day, but the answer is no.

You're welcome to be angry with me, but I will tell you that I did not, and will not, receive any of the prize money, news which I suspect will make you slightly less agitated.

You really just let the point slip by you, don't you?

All that's being asked...again, again, and again:

How do you know?

I couldn't care less if you won or not. I just want to know how you know.

You'd be surprised what you can find online...

http://forums.canadiancontent.net/off-topic/57758-help-puzzle.html

From the comments there, you can pretty well gather the region the NE coin is in.

Any updates with substantial coin claims?

DC sounds legit
DC Coin

Well, Anon's description of the DC coin sounds legit. Because all of the benches were covered with snow, I assumed and looked all around the lamps pedestals. Seemed like the next obvious place.

BTW if I'm correct, it was one of the 2 big lamps in front of the Freer Art Gallery of the Smithsonian.

I for one, am not going back up there. Sad

Well, yes. I wondered if he/she knew. Very Happy I don't mind helping someone who has done their own work/homework, but didn't want to assist someone who didn't have the faintest idea.

All is lost...or not

so...followed clue #29 today and encountered about 10 other people looking as well....never did see anything remotely like a coin or box or bag or anything...talked to park ranger and he said that he didn't think it was placed yet. I am so mad...have kids and cannot be at the park at either 12:05 (which noone else should either as said park "closes" at 9 pm) and cannot be sthere at 6 am when it opens due to kids in school and hubby out of town working...honestly...shouldn't he stay home just so i can galavant around town and maybe not find a prize??? The nerve. I hope that the last clue is so obscure that noone can figure it out right away so i at least have a fighting chance!!

COIN PLACEMENT
PLACED EARLY!!

THE RULES SPECIFICALLY STATE:

Coin will feature a Dr PepperŪ logo, along with the words "The Hunt for More", a unique prize number, and a special toll-free number (the "Coins") to call in order to claim 1 of 23 separate cash prizes (the "Treasures"). THE COINS MAY NOT BE PLACED IN THEIR HIDDEN LOCATION UNTIL FEBRUARY 21, 2007. The timing of the Coin placement is at the sole discretion of Sponsor.

SO HOW ARE PEOPLE FINDING COINS WHEN THEY ARENT SUPPOSE TO BE PLACED UNTIL THE 21ST WHEN ITS ONLY THE 20TH?

It would help to keep in mind that they specifically state 'MAY' instead of 'WILL'. As of midnight Monday when I called the number posted in the clue history, the operator told me that the coins have been placed.

All I know is that I'm glad that I'm still in college and have nothing better to do than chug Dr. Pepper all day. Very Happy I'm gonna skip classes tomorrow and head out so that I'm at a wifi spot near the location by midnight, and hope that it hasn't been found already. The trip is too long to warrant me going there more than once, so I'm putting all my eggs in one basket. If nothing else, I chalk it up as a fun story.

I'm starting to get the impression their left hand doesn't know what their right hand is doing. The woman at Dr. Pepper, in the promotions department, told me that as of this morning all coins were not placed.

Good luck tomorrow...unless you're searching my region Very Happy
