Chris responded to another one of my emails today...

He thanked me for the offer of help from the underground, but my message to him specifically cited help from the brotherhood.

A slipup?

well, now we know for sure they're not different factions...

 		More from Chris (cfreak@gmail Chris, not cfreak on the forums).

I asked his take on "Real" Chris' accusation that he contacted users, as well as asking for clarification on the Chris Brown / Chris Brown thing. Here's the response. "I don't" was answering the "do you know your old boss' name" question.

 		Meanwhile, I've been in contact with cfreak-on-the-forums, replies-to-bug-reports, chris@fundi, "the REAL" Chris. I basically asked him about the two accounts.

Okay, someone is playing games and I'd like to figure out which one it is.

Trace, NeoManicXZ, Morelaak, KGBRam (is he still playing? i thought he quit after the IG/OOG controversy), VioletNightshade, Agent Lex, myself, and "jasonslfl" (sorry, didn't recognize the email address) received the following email from

Our emails were listed in Prestige Order, and any skipped users are because email was not displayed publicly on the website. For that reason, we need to consider this might be a gamejack attempt--if not, the danger is in developing prestige on the site.

Got one more (just to me this time) with the following content

Yes, it was a gamejack. Just received a response (the quick responses and spamlike frequency should have been the first tell) that tipped the hand.

The string of numbers at the end of Trace's post is obviously binary, but is written in a was such that there is no way to get letters out of it: ascii characters (the best way to represent binary as letters/symbols) are divided into 8-bit segments of binary; the number 100101100101001101 is divisible by 9, not 8. However, the number can be represented as another number: an unsigned integer.

When converted directly, the number that 100101100101001101 represents is 301389.

However, this could be a complete waste of time.

Here's another angle:

There's a definite pattern to these binary numbers.

100101100101001101

one one, two zeros, one one, one zero, two ones, two zeros, one one, one zero, one one, two zeros, two ones, one zero, one one.

again, i don't know what it might mean. Maybe some form of f*cked up encryption.

1) He used my public email. My private/ingame email, that I've used to contact all of the characters so far, wasn't used.
2) As we just discussed in IRC, he didn't even BCC. n00b mistake!

So those emails were just fakes I'm assuming?

This whole ARG is one total confusing trip for me, considering the lack of understanding on who's a "player" and who's an actual character in-game. And now this whole thing about one of the Fundi employees being "in-game" just makes it worse. The joys of ARG'ing. xP

yes i would be trace, and i think it might be someone i know that i told about deus city, it didnt hit me before, but i checked a file on my computer concerning a game called ROBOT CITY from back in the day, like i mean i was not very big either, it was made by byron press meida (see what i mean) and followed smoe of the story line of the Isaiac Asimov books called "robot City"... anyway skipping all the long information about it, in the game you need to find the supervisors password, and htat jsut happens to be our little binary code...

i am sorry for all the bs this has caused, and i will personaly bitch him put on behalf of all deus city... damn huh

sory about that especialy to morelaak, since you did the most research on it.. even if i dont agree with all your ideas IG, you spent a long ass time on line lookin for clues

also still dont know how he knew about hte chrises, must have read it here, makes the ost sense to me.. i will make sure ot post his phone number up here it can be put all over bathroom stalls andthe like once i find that as well

 		So I decided to take a stab at the elusive "Ethan Sedgewick". I still don't know whether or not he's IG. And he hasn't given me any real new info, or even hooks to follow up on.

Still waiting to hear from Chris.

They want to get more info on each player through observation and use that information in the next phase?

The PMs are studying our interactions with each other in an enclosed system like those exercises and experiments in psychology or sociology classes?

 		I have been in contact with ethan as well, and his response leans away from Foo heavily. He has told me that he is pretty much psychoanalyzing the users based on their posts. However, he is not taking/has not taken the initiative in any way to contact any of the big names. Instead, he has waited for us to contact him. This laid back approach is expected for this passive approach to finding out more about the users.

He told me he feels there is a need for those users allied against Foo, or searching for better answers than the one Foo has provided, should be in better contact, that a communications web between us would be best.

That's all i really know so far.

interface. Jose seemed to be a person of some power and influence, and

I can't tell you exactly how the Karmic color indicator works, but
I believe it is reacting to our behaviors and actions. I was red when
I first started and my color shifted over time.

Ok, i just realized something...

Someone's been just sitting in the Cornerstone Speak-Easy for the past 9-10 hours.

His username is Citizen, his real name is Richard Xavier (or Xavier Richard, as he puts it), is male, has no location, contact information, or age.

I have been getting some emails from Ethan about trying to get more information from actual members of the city, and i thought he meant slewth and Bishop.

But now i'm not sure. Could it be this guy?

so what do you guys think? IG or OOG?

EDIT: Oh, btw, he doesn't trust Foo.
