The funny thing is that when I watched it I actually was feeling a little under the weather.

Trust me Esteed, you aren't the only one! For some reason I started to feel ill a little before watching the last video, but I have been a little on and off lately so maybe that's why.

Well depending on what that background music is hiding, it could actually be capable of making you feel ill. For example, a French Movie called Irreversible had low frequency playing over a part of the movie with awful implications (about 25 Hz, the same frequency sound that earthquakes cause). At its first screening, it litterally made many of the audience members get up and leave because they felt ill.
I too felt a very small bit of stomach upset while watching the clip, but of course it could be any number of things (over active imagination? ;D)

Powers of the Mind Really guys, this is just the powers of suggestion at work. The text suggested that you would feel ill after viewing this vid by saying that other people have experienced the same thing. Its the same when people talk about Backmasking. "If you play that song backwards then it will say Satan loves you!!!" Then you play the song and hear that very same phrase or somthing like it. If you didn't already read what people thought it said then it would just sound like gibberish to you. Same thing here....if you didn't already read about the effect that was said to happen to other people then you wouldn't have felt ill. In a psychology class, we did an experiment with backmasking that proved what I just said.
There are some songs that do have secret messages in them but, they were usually done as a joke towards the whole "Backmasking phenomenon"

Weird. But more importantly, why can't these things happen more often??
Draco, I know what you're talking about...the whole power of suggestion thing. But for what it's worth, I didn't feel ill, but I felt a kind of pressure in and behind my eyes, as well as across the bridge of my nose. It went away about 15 secs after the vid was over.
But, the whole soundwave induced symptom theory isn't new. In school, I remember hearing about how waves in the theta and delta range can induce relaxation and sleep, alpha and beta waves can make you alert and focused, etc. Not too uncommon stuff.

Draco,
While I believe the "powers of the mind" is pretty credible, which means I'm agreeing with you as well as April with the soundwaves, I also have to say that I'm in fact sick with what I'm thinking is the flu. It just happened to be coincidence that I started to feel sick around the time I was watching the video. I just wanted to set the record straight .

Y'know the part that's making me laugh the most? I didn't say the vid made me feel ill. My stomach had been troubling me most of the day, I just thought it was funny that I viewed that vid while it was.

Sounds like a plan.
So... An ARG, or not an ARG? That is the question.
Right now... The YT video obviously looks very ARGish. The question is: what to do from here? Nice job to the PMs if they are patient enough for people to find the Google vid before posting the YT one...
So... Get in contact with the person who posted the YT vid?

Indeed it is. Alternatively, the question could also be, "Why do you hate?" This all seems far too ARG-ish to be anything but, though perhaps some cult is attempting to use Youtube to gain a following. Now there is a scary thought!
Seriously? I'd say I agree with the idea of getting in touch with the Youtube poster. May not be IG, but there may have been other clues left on the DVD he/she/they "found".

wow. Didn't think I'd cause all of you guys to try to defend yourself! Thats what makes me laugh. I didn't single anyone out when I posted that. Some of you said that it was "strange" and or "funny" that you were feeling under the weather while, before, or after seeing the vid. So I was just making a statement on the current topic. In any event, I agree with all of the possible theories and I do believe this is ment to be an ARG. I also hope that I clarified my previous statements for you.

You know, I just don't get it.
I love horror films. They're fun. The creepier, gorier, nastier the better. I mean, for God's sake, I've watched almost all of the Troma videos. there's a scene in which (spoilered for taste and for our slightly more modest forum members)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
a woman beats another woman to death with an ABORTED FETUS!
If I can get through that, I can get through anything, right?
Yet for some damn reason, these two videos freak the crap out of me. and that's with the sound OFF. it's a tiny little video, grany crap image, and yet I'm terrified. I KNOW IT'S FAKE. Yet I've still got goosebumps. A car just drove by my house and I nearly lept through the roof.
So now I've got Iron and Wine playing softly in the background, and I'm going to pull out some dave barry book to curl up with and forget about all the nastyness out there.
Jeez, I'm such a pansy.

So, taking stock of this new video, we can surmise that whatever or whoever is leaving these little videos for people to find, there are multiple entities involved. The repeated use of the word "we" proves that, so...maybe an organization? A cult? It definitely sounds as if the things being said come from some kind of "the world is sick/ill/corrupt/whatever" type cult. The kind that wishes to "help" the world "fix" itself.

Watch this all turn out to be one really elaborate set up for a screamer. Everybody thinks they should be looking for clues in the vids, they get so into them, and then a new one comes along and people devour it. Then BANG! Screamer.
