new blog entry. it should also be noted that the last one was deleted. hopefully someone saved the original blog.

http://warningunknownvideos.blogspot.com/

so it looks like he's answering four questions, three of which are up to us to choose. personally i've been wondering what the official name of the video series is, but that seems a little pointless...

Maybe asking about where the videos come from? The original blog did mention something about not questioning them...

Barring that, perhaps asking about what the hell a human Lamprey is? Or what the connection to the Cubist board is? Or what was done to Jack?

EDIT: I have an idea of how we could get honest answers from him. He says he's required by tradition to answer the questions, right? So perhaps I could suggest that it would be like spitting in the eye of the tradition of choosing if he lied to the one he chose to receive the video?

That said, the only question I really have is where the videos come from. So if we wanted to decide on which other questions get asked, I could try this out and see what happens.

Ooooh...good point. Maybe having the person he gave the video to ask the question, he would have to be truthful.
But, what "tradition" is he required by?

He gave the video to me (sent it to both my hotmail and aimmail accounts, even though I never check the aimmail one) so I could ask whatever questions the group decides on. As far as what tradition it is, I don't know. Maybe that should be one of the questions?

Yeah, asking about the tradition was going to be my question, since it may lead us somewhere else.

I wonder if we have a time limit for when we need to submit these questions.

Well, Esteed has earned the right to officially ask the questions:

I'd say where the videos come from and what tradition are certainly two appropriate questions.

May I suggest for the third- something along the lines of "Who are you?" or "what is in it for you/What is your motivation for putting these things out?" or some other question to find out more about whoever it is who is throwing all this stuff at us. Or perhaps "Why three different explanations for the first 3 videos?" or "Why put the videos out now?"

I don't expect too much more than some cryptic responses, though. Puppetmaster is VERY much an appropriate term- I do feel like a puppet being jerked around on strings through this experience.

Later today if I get a chance I'll do a "Story so far..." summary. Oh, and from now on, if someone who knows how can archive some of these pages it would be much appreciated. (Or at least point me in the direction of a way to do it.)

As for "plants," I'm a bit upset about that- it is strictly against TOS for people to post ON HERE as IG characters to push the plotline along. There should be something "Out there" to be able to interact with the PM, and so far the blog is the only point of contact (and that is fading.) The Cube proboards would be a good alternative but no one can post (awaiting approval- possibly forever). Hopefully the PM will provide one, or perhaps we can make one ourselves (I've got a blog setup that I was planning to use as a more "in-game" type thing.) But if there was an interactive site that was In-Game it would CERTAINLY make things easier (since EVERYTHING here is supposed to be "out of game.") Bleh rambling, I need to put some food in me and take care of a couple or three things. (I'm dreading hitting ETS to get an update on the NiN ARG....)

Still alive, still sane! (Well, mostly....)

I totally agree. As I said in a previous post, we can't really do anything. All we need to do is sit on our asses and wait for the story to unfold.

I'm not sure "what is the tradition?" is such a good question. The tradition is obviously he has to answer three questions after distributing the videos. Instead, asking what the history of the tradition is or who started the tradition may be a better question.

As for the third question, i don't know.....perhaps something along the lines of what does he hope to achieve by distributing the videos? I guess that's kind of like the whats in it for him question. Something like that may be good.

The websites still work for me btw. (Other than the changing blogsite)

Different tack here, probably totally off course but worth a shot....

Since he says ""What's the point in asking questions if you're just going to lie?" Well, there is the off chance that you could outwit me somehow, I suppose."

Maybe it's a logic puzzle type thingie. We use 2 questions to get an answer to the third, constructed so that we get either a known true answer, or a known false answer (that we know the opposite is true.)

Like the old "Walking down the road, at an unmarked fork you meet 2 people one from a place where they always lie, one from the place where they always tell the truth, you get one question to one of them- how do you find out which way to go?"

(The answer is, ask one "Which direction would the other guy say is the way I want to go?" If the person tells the truth, they will truthfully say the lie the other guy would say (Which is the wrong way to go.) If the person lies, they will lie about what the other person would say (which is the truth) and will tell you the wrong way to go. So you go the other way.)

Like I said, may be waaaaaay offbase here, but worth a shot.

*edit Another question to ask- "Are the other blog entries important?" or "Are we missing clues somewhere?" or "Are you a !$!#*(!)( psychopath?"

so is esteed actually going to ask the questions? he said in the email he didn't think it'd be good for him to contact him again, but that just might've meant over email.

Sure, I will. I just need to know what questions will be asked. I definitely want to ask where the videos come from. Other than that, you guys can pick the remaining questions and once that's been done, I'll post a comment on the blog asking them.
