 		googling 5th rail returns a number of results, including billiards and railroads, and more I'm sure on further pages... nothing that stands out blatantly as new or related. Will have to dig further.

"5th rail" seems rather vague, but I'm guessing it might be a clue to the key for the code which might be vigenere. I've tried the obvious 'megan' and 'thrail' (5 isn't valid), but haven't done any analysing of the code...

edit: already solved

I think we're still missing bits, but I could be wrong.

EDIT: I'm thinking the capital letters in all of the ROT messages could be block? Problem is I have no idea how to decode that. Anybody want to give it a go?

Son of EDIT: Megan's just signed on to MSN. (Check the profile of her Blogger account for the name.) Will attempt to make contact now.

UPDATE: No contact on MSN as of yet, but I did get a reply to my email.

 		Normally, I'd avoid double posting, but this is a fairly significant update so I decided to go ahead and do it. First, the MSN conversation I had with Megan.

Towards the beginning, I also received a reply to my earlier email to her.

 		The first code is ROT-13ed into:

Still working on the second one. ROT-13 gives me a string of binary.

EDIT: Boy, do I feel stupid. I forgot to select ROT-13 in the SNEAK tool for the second code. Embarassed It ACTUALLY gives me the name moiraangela, which I figure at this point is not a spoiler since we've already figured that out.

Son of EDIT: This is what I've been able to get from the capitalized letters in the various decoded ROT-13 messages. I don't count the capitals that SHOULD be capitalized (i.e. the Is when she refers to herself).

Grandson of EDIT: This post just gets longer and longer, huh? In one of Megan's blogs, she mentions being able to get to Livejournal from her work computer. So, on a hunch, I looked up moiraangela on Livejournal and successfully found an account belonging to our friend Megan. The only post in it is informing everyone that she only has LJ so she can talk to people on it, and that all her actual blogging is done at the one we already found. She has one account friended, but that one doesn't look like it's in-game.

 		I think the original placement of the capital letters in the message is important somehow. If the actual placement wasn't important, they could've used proper spacing and just coded them that way. As far as what that placement means, I'm not sure yet, but I'm going to find out.

 		I didn't receive any e-mails from Megan, but I sent an e-mail to her Gmail address and immediately received the same auto-reply mentioned earlier, with some slight changes:
