SPEC: GW window 4 like the planetary clicky maze?

Maybe the solve is related in some way to that, i.e. we need to clicks the notes in a certain order to open the next page.....

What letters are in the painting?

Dale's email continues to push up to think of the notes as "letters"

From the upper left: upside down V
left side middle: L
to the right of that: sideways V
in the middle: I
upper right: P (or lowercase D)
middle right: G (or lower case E)
lower right: P

What can we make out of this? (no, not a hat nor a
broach <grin>)

But I'm not getting much in the anagram department

I would also spec this might be an "A"

Makes sense to me. I think we have to 'play' the painting.
But with what? I've been trying to get the light theme and dark theme from www.auraladdiction.com down but my musical abilites are hopelessly mediocre. Also, which one to use? Perhaps a combo (dark + light=grey)?

So, possible combinations:

VLVIGPP
VLVIGPD
VLVIEPP
VLVIEPD
ALVIGPP
ALVIGPD
ALVIEPP
ALVIEPD

playing w/ anagrams nets a possible here:
ALVIEPD = DALE VIP

I know, just pulling at straws (bored at work).

SPOILER The next page

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, I really have to thank Kona for writing down the letters she thought she saw
in the painting and also grumpyboy for thinking all along that the painting spelled
something. And most of all I just got lucky. I googled famous Alchemists and looked
for a name that used similar letters to Kona's. I found this name:

AGRIPPA.

So I tried it and it was right.

There is a "clicky" on the circle on the book that leads to:
http://www.greywethers.net/agrippa2.html

Four "Clickies" on the symbols surrounding the man. Two take you back, and two take you forward to:
http://www.greywethers.net/agrippa3.html

The agrippa3 has this in the SC:
1W + 2S + 3E + 4N

So what do we do with the directions on pg3?

I've been looking for both diagrams here:
http://digital.lib.msu.edu/onlinecolls/display.cfm?TitleNo=247&FT

Trying to see "where" or "how" we're to use the directions.
Interesting mention/letter of Trithemius on pg 18 or 19 (in the preface).

EDIT*** Also interesting are some of the chapter? titles in Book Two of the Three Books of Occult Philosophy.
(i.e. The scale of the number two, The scale of the number three.)

Just thought it interseting due to the "musical" painting.

Well there are the images....what to do with them (I dunno:))
Just thought that by reading what is in the book "around" the images may have helped clarify what we're to do. It didn't...at least not for me...lol

~cem

EDIT*** Just some more musings on "direction".
Quote:
In Occult Philosophy Book two ch. seven, by Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa (early 16th century) the four most well-known archangels are attributed like this:

Michael - fire (and east)
Raphael - air (and west)
Gabriel - water (and north)
Uriel - earth (and south)

Of course the W S E N may not even refernence traditional "directions".

Using the Angel/cardinal points that cemgate found I tried taking the first letter of the west angel, the second letter of the south angel etc. I came up with RRCR Crying or Very sad That didn't work.

So then I tried taking the first letter of West, the second letter of South etc and got WOST Crying or Very sad That didn't work.

So that's what I tried and all I can think of.
