I have dfound this area tonight, and it has a nteresting description

 		Unfortunately, users cannot delete threads, nor can they delete a post after someone has posted after them.

From what I've seen, mods generally only lock these kind of threads anyway--so let this be the end of the conversation and the thread drifts down into oblivion.
