Email Iris and the DEG watcher

Last night I watched my watcher for at least an hour. He was there, ever
standing and always looking right at my window. I tried turning off my lights and peeking from around the curtains, but invariably, he shrunk back every time I took a gander at him. Then, just as suddenly as he appeared, he was gone. I watched and waited for another hour before I was certain that he was no longer around and was gone for good. I figured maybe I could get some impressions if I went out and walked around where he had been standing, so I quickly dressed and ran outside. I would have been quite the sight to anyone who had chosen to look outside at that moment, what with my pajamas on under more appropriate outside attire, but what the heck, I am the odd psychic so
they should forgive me such things! I walked cautiously over to the spot
where I had seen the man and as I did, I felt an unusual chill in the air. In addition to the strange cold, there was an indefinable energy in the area. This energy seemed to tickle and awaken all of my senses. It was most disconcerting and I could feel myself growing tense. I tried to sense whether there were any other impressions to be had, but before I could do much there was a tap on my shoulder and I screamed bloody murder. Lights came on all over the area, people appeared in windows and a few came outside holding bats! I had run a few yards before I turned around to see James and Chris standing there looking rather sheepish. They tried to calm all of the outraged residents down and to explain that everything was all right, that they were not murderers or rapists and that I was just scared by some ghost or goblin out there in the night. You know, it was the most outrageous tale I had ever heard, but they all seemed to buy it and quickly left us alone to face those demons.

Chris took my hand and led me inside. They escorted me like a princess up to my room and then had to face a very quiet telling off. I am rather proud of myself in that I made both of them pale at how angry I was. They apologized and said that they had stopped off at the Aglaura Diner for some pie before going out to search around the Pine Barrens. It seems that they are local celebrities now and that everyone wanted to talk to them, so that by the time they paid their bill and walked outside, it had gotten pitch dark and they had the unusual common sense to give up the idea for the night and come on back to the B&B. They say that they will try again tonight. Men are such idiots.
