mrsE is assuming that 'season 2' will be the same as season 1 in that it will involved a single buried item somewhere. Who knows - it could be something completely different.

HE HEM MINDCANDY!!!! If any mindcandians r reading this I think the *Item from season two* should be burried in Ireland because it is between America an England (the leaderboard toppers) not just being selfish but you really should....And don't throw your spares away because I don't have the joy of an income (Alright I'm 12) and didn't join from the beginning so as I don't have all thee cards and I do want to collect them all (not in a pokemon fashion).................

When do we stop waiting for an announcement? Well it's Wednesday afternoon.
If the cube was found in the infamous hole in the ground, then it was dug up before half 9 on Monday morning. With two and a half days passed, I would imagine that the winner would have been to see Mind Candy by now.
Having heard nothing from Mind Candy, at what point do we start saying, "maybe it's still out there".

Some people have been saying "maybe it's still out there" all along. I think we should carry on looking at things to see if there's more information to work out and put together, but maybe not go hundreds of miles to go trekking round woods. If there's an announcement tomorrow, then not much has been lost in the meantime, but if there isn't, then at least something might have been cracked by then.

celebration I think it takes a couple of days to verify, and arrange publicity, perhaps in the weekend papers. So I wouldn't regain hope until after the weekend or unless someone confesses to trying to put us off the scent, which would be a clever gambit. However I think digging a hole in the right place, and leaving THE card there feels like a solve to me. If we clubbed together to buy the perplexcitree to mark the spot I guess it would have to be either a monkey puzzle or a fruit tree (apple anyone?). I imagine the Foresters (that ancient order) have rules about these things.

i don't think i'll judge anything till Pxc's main site is updated. (or has a new headline)....which gives me 11 weeks till i dig the cube up myself.....

The thing thats bothering me is the card that was left by the hole.
If it were you and you were looking for the cube, and you found it by some miracle, would you leave an 'end of the line' card over the hole ??
No - nor me. It just seems a bit weird unless someone found the cube and MC put it there ?? I'm not convinced the cube is found because as I said before I'm not sure the location is correct (but I am usually wrong lol).
Season 2 should be good, new puzzles, new game and with a 99.9% certainty whatever the prize money, if it is another 'buried artifact' type hunt it won't be in England !

It could be that whoever found the Cube has a sense of humor.
Or maybe we're too late, and 3P has it now - and season two's goal is to retrieve the Cube for some larger amount of money? If MC decided to launch season two regardless of whether the Cube was found, they could have dug it up themselves and left the card as a taunt.

But if that was the case wouldn't that really P you off? I think they would lose a lot of gamers if they did that.
The sense of humour thing is an idea but unless you planned the whole thing and knew exactly where the cube was to leave the card in the first place, I don't see it being that.
It just seems a little fishy to me . . . or is it trout lol

I have an interesting anecdote to do with monkey puzzles that makes me smile whenever I see one. It involves a lightbulb in a teacup. I find it's more interesting if I leave it there.
But I don't see why everyone's so keen to give up on this. I'm not entirely convinced by Fineshade wood, or by this card business (and I still vote Vi as CT) but there is plenty of reason to keep working on this until an announcement is made. If nothing else we at least need to reverse engineer a solve for FRB.

I reckon there are 3 main options about this card in the woods:
1 - The End. The Cube has indeed been found;
2 - Having A Laugh. Some wag thought it would be an amusing thing to do;
3 - Distraction/Misdirection. Someone (3P perhaps, or just a Cube hunter) did it to buy themselves more time. While people are hanging around scratching their heads or other bits of their anatomy, whoever it was has had several more days to work on things to really find the Cube.
On the basis that whatever I say is usually wrong, I'm going to say that it's been found. And so, by a perverse logic, that has instantly increased the chances that the Cube is still out there, languishing in some of Blighty's finest muck.
I for one think there's certainly very little to be lost by continuing to work things out. I just haven't got the faintest idea where to start, or what to do!

Well I guess now the cube is found we don't need to spec any more, perhaps Random can tell us why he left the card there??
