Number23

This is probably more of a time waster than an ARG but it's just a little thing I found that could possibly evolve.

The website for Jim Carrey's new movie The Number 23
http://www.number23movie.com/

It's a film about the phenomena of 23 and how people keep seeing it everywhere, which is something that's happened to me. Hence my interest.

There's a trailer, fine. Lot's of pictures of 23, fine. All the pictures lead to web pages related to 23. But some of the pictures are different. The pictures that show writing scrawled across walls and doors are accompanied by fragments of text. I haven't been able to assemble it yet but I think I have found the first part.

A picture of a door with the caption "I wonder if you can help me?"

Hell, I don't even know if they end up making a sentence at all... But they might. Razz

This looks like great subject matter for a tie-in ARG, even if it's not one. Still, I may spend some time looking through the various sites to see if anything ARGish turns up.

If you're interested, all of the images and links to external sites are stored in an XML file here:
http://www.number23movie.com/xml/newline23.xml

(In case your browser tells you the file has a parsing error, you can usually view source to get to the raw XML).

Inputting your name and email directs you to http://www.frequency23.net/ which is indeed a fictional website.
