New Issue for October at JadedMedia.net Heads up, kiddies! Everyone's favorite 'zine is back with a spankin' new issue. Obviously, the first thing you'll want to do is check out the Pie (or the Strudel—whatever bakes your cookie, baby) in the Pastry section , but then I'm sure you'll be interested in the Hallowe'en doings that appear to be in store. Woo and boo! Can I get a "Hell, yea!" Who wants to win something special come October 27th?

Read the Rules If you read through the rules, you'll know all about the hints to come.

Life is Funny So, I'm currently in the process of switching over JM to another (ad-free) server, so be patient if you can't access everything right away.
you can still access the pages at jadedmedia.hypermart.net, until the DNS propogates properly (say that three times fast and drink some soda).

12:00 pm (GMT -06:00)
12:00 pm is noon. which means that it would be 6:00 (late afternoon) for anyone in GMT.
Now I believe Britain is observing BST (british summer time) right now, which is one hour off from GMT.
I went here http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=215
to check on Rome Italy, and it says that Italy is GMT +2 right now. for daylight savings.
so 6pm GMT today would be 8pm Italy Daylight Savings.
Here is where it gets tricky. This page also says that DST ends on the 27th at 3AM local, which means that on the 27th, Italy would be GMT +1, instead of +2.
So on the 27th, it would be 7pm Italy Standard Time - "Central European Time (CET) "
If this is not correct, someone please fix it.
I hope the puzzle won't be as hard as figuring out the time that the puzzle starts.

Correction: You're not using a false identity, so this isn't a shill, it's a shameless plug .

I found a good freeware time clock at http://www.pawprint.net/wt/ that I use from time to time. I am on a modem so I did not let it load up at start up like it asks , but its a pretty good program and you can add more clock locations to monitor. It is spyware free also as well as freeware. I checked it with ad aware. It leaves a little clock in the system tray when running but you can right click the icon and close it if you dont want the program running Hope this helps, as I heard some games will only give you clues at certain times and tell you to come back later. This program may be usefull if you run across this type clue better then trying to do the math manually.

thanks to the maniacs to all the people who played the all hallow's eve contest, i tip my hat to you
i'll let you know when my page describing the events is up, but for now, let me humble everyone... you managed to finish the puzzles in far less time than needed, and everyone seemed to get along just fine, so i'd consider it a success.
here's hoping that any future endeavors are successful as well.
