The something that happens today is contact with Will Forth. Based on his message, he will log on to Skype at 20:00GMT (convert back to your time zone as you will) and hopefully pass on whatever information he got from slewth, kicking off our efforts to save him.
This is the guy who got booted off the system for soliciting communications in the recent news article . So this is probably unrelated to the new districts going live, but still an important plot point.

How many names on Skype does he know?
Add him to your friends list, then he will have all of us. Let's hope it is a conference call or lots of info spread between players, things have been really dead for too long.

I really think it is something different. Reading through all the messages I think he says today at 20.00 it begins. And not, I will contact you at 20.00 GMT.
I have a feeling that in 10 minutes, some things gonna happen. Maybe by Skype, but I think something else.

I think I am on GMT +1 (CET) and 20.00 GMT just passed 15 minutes ago.
Nothing happened on the website or on skype.

The Message, but no Help 5am calls make me groggy Sorry gang, I got the call but wasn't awake enough to do it right. This warning is probably too late. This call is not an interaction opportunity, it's a recorded message.
IF YOU GET A CALL, HAVE A RECORDING PROGRAM READY.
In my defense, I slept through my alarm so the phone call (at approximately 5:04am my time) woke me up. Here's what to expect--some garbled words with the volume waaaaay down we'll need to reconstruct, then some extremely slow piano music: following a one note, then a chord pattern.
I managed to get Audacity running for the last five seconds of music to give you a taste of what happened, but that was it. Hopefully someone else caught the message.

Pamela is a breeze to use, the instant the call is connected you get a pop up window saying "Do you want to record this message...Yes/No", press yes and you will hear a short announcement. And that is it, it will automatically be saved once the call is disconnected.

It is not appearing in the Pamela "My Recorded Calls" list???
Have I dropped a clanger too??

Wahey
Time to get to work on it.
EDIT: There is a very very faint noise in the background on the recording, that is the surroundings I am in and not part of the puzzle.

Thanks James...you're a lifesaver.
I'm trying to piece together the sentence at the beginning. Right before the pause, it sounds like "another person", but that's all I have so far. Oh, and the first note of the piano song/code is "C".

Way to go James - Just checked the chat history on my skype and the call will be recorded message was sent twice to will forth - but still cannot find the actual recording anywhere on my pc???
Do you know where Pamela stores them, so I can check to see if I actually did manage to get it, or if I need to mess about with the settings for the next time? (assuming there will be a next time).

Thanks James - found it but sadly it is 0kb in size, but found out why too. Had been using MSN messenger earlier, and the mic was still in use by it.
Will know to shut everything down in future, and sorry to everyone for messing it up my end, but at least we have a copy to work with.
I have split the file into two, one for the speech and the other for the piano music, and cleaned it up a little, removing most of the background chatter, assuming this was the noise James meant?
Been playing with WavePad audio editor a little, but to be honest cannot get anything out of it. It's a free download and quite easy to use if anyone fancies giving it a go?? I'm just not sure what kind of effect, or mixture of effects, that have been applied to the original recording.
