I can confirm that "cube 2/3" actually means an arrangement in three rows of one cube and five cows.
Is there something you want to tell us Andy?? lol
I think maybe season 2 is to find the other 2 cubes then, total spec, one here and one in the US (and when you put them all together they dissolve into the atmosphere and then we have to find them again in season 3 - joke)

right now, rand0m saying "I can confirm" is like the pope saying "bless you" when someone sneezes. you can't just hand those out willy-nilly!
hehehehe

I would like to point out something plot-wise:
The Receda Cube has been on display in Perplex City for years. Anybody and probably everybody in the City can go the Academy to see it. That means that everybody in Perplex City has seen the "2/3". And so far, none of them have wondered what it means.
This makes me think that one of the following three things is true:
1) There is something that average Perplexians know about The Cube that we don't.
2) When the Cube was transported to Earth, it changed its appearance
3) Sente created a lie about what "2/3" means, it was accepted by the general population, and only he knows what it really means.

4) It was always face-down on the pedestal and nobody thought to lift it to see the text on the underside.

Rand0m, is there writing or images carved on all 6 sides of the Cube, or are some of the sides just blank and shiny?

When it came out of the ground it was so cold that there were marks on the metal that looked like a pattern, but they disappeared when it warmed up. The best way I can describe them is to say that they looked like tiny versions of the shapes children make when they cut potatoes in half, carve the faces and use them as stamps with paint.
The only deliberately marked side was the face with the engraving on, the rest were blank and shiny.

I thought so. Thanks Rand0m.
My point is, since all the pics of the Cube they have on the in-game websites and puzzle cards show no visible markings on the Cube, it's safe to say that the face with markings on it was the face turned down on the pedestal where the cube was displayed at at the Academy.
So that's why nobody mentioned the "2/3"

According to the wiki:
The Wiki wrote:
In the modern era, detailed scientific analysis using a range of tools, including electron microscopy, MRI and TNI scans, as well as various metallurgical and spectrometric investigations, has provided limited information
So it's been observed by several scientists, and I'd assume that they would look at the bottom when observing it.
Also, according to this thread , when Sente (or MC through Sente) posted an ad in the Firebox catalogue, there was a link to a product description containing "Nihil obstat scientia". So, for whatever that's worth, although I know the quote is not exclusively associated with The Cube, Sente associated it with it publically during the pre game.

I'd also stick to the idea that there are three cubes as shown in the 3P symbol.
Maybe they can be stacked on top of each other and work together like the Shiva
stones from Indiana Jones, i.e. the diamonds inside begin to glow.
Or maybe I'm talking complete bullshit here.

What strikes me first when thinking about 2/3:
Everyone in the city thinks the cube being perfect.
Considering the 2/3, this can be the symbol of perfection as it is the same ratio as in a golden section
which is usually considered being a perfect balance.
Maybe this is why nobody bothered about telling us about the 2/3. It may be just too self-evidently.
Just my 2 cents......ginc

Golden section Isn't the golden ratio half of ( one plus root five ), which isn't quite equal to two thirds?

Hmmm Rand0m I think you should do what we do with cards like freezing them and stuff like that (can't remember the name of it) but don't put it in the microwave for too long or you'll have an angry mob of Perplexians outside your door quicker than a CubeThief to earth...LOL
Okay maybe don't do that then...

Well lookey here. It looks like Earth had one of the other cubes after all.

I didn't see it mentioned here, but the Academy logo on the cube looks to be only a partial logo. This is further fodder (in my mind) toward the theory that the cube split, phased, shifted, or otherwise became multiple objects after the dimensional travel. I would assume the other two "pieces" of the cube would have different partial pieces of the Academy logo, such that if all of the cube faces were to be superimposed atop each other, you would get the complete logo.</speculation>
