EMAIL: Email from Dale

Pam,
Thanks for forwarding me that e-mail account from Phyllis Willingham.
Wes had
actually already clued me in on the little excursion, with just a few
minor
differences.
By the way, I also already knew about Wes being a father, even though
this turn
of events is still somewhat surprising. Wes doesn't really talk about
his son,
though, and I've never pressed him on it. I do know his son's name is
Todd and
that Wes hasn't seen him in quite a while. At least until the other
day, it
seems.
As far as anything else Wes may be keeping from us, that man has so
many
mysteries and is full of so much knowledge, I wouldn't be surprised if
we learn
a few more surprising things about him yet. But still, I trust him and
don't
think he would do anything against me or anyone helping me.
I have to go since I have a lot of e-mails yet to write. I'm going to
try very
hard to stay in touch more consistently from here on, but please be
understanding if you don't get an immediate response to your e-mails.

Thanks for all your help.

Dale

msg TO Dale

After getting to the possible end of window4.html (the sixty.html page with the quote by Booker), I dropped this note to Dale to let him know where we are in that path:
Quote:
Hi, Dale.

I haven't written to you lately, but have been keeping up with you through the updates of others. I figure you have enough on your plate without me asking how you are.

How are you?
(joke)

We've been working through the greywethers pages, and I wanted you to see where we are so far, in case you're having difficulty.

Starting with St. Beregonne and clicking on the link to window4.html
we got to the Pollock painting, which was a stumbling point. Dashcat and grumpyboy figured that the letters in the painting spelled agrippa, and we went to agrippa.html. A hot spot took us to agrippa2.html and then agrippa3.html and we were stalled briefly.

From agrippa3.html and using the source code to find the numbers we needed to sum, I got to sixty.html (or 60.html - they both work!) and then a nice quote. The quote took us to a book by Agrippa, including the quote by Io. Booker. We believe that "Booker" might be the end point of the trail, but some of us are looking for more.

We were reminded that Agrippa and Trithemius were contemporaries. Since we already believe Trithemius to be one of the Nine, then that makes me suspicious that Agrippa may also be one. Time will tell.

I know that whitehouse has also been interested in our progress, so I'll include a copy of this letter to that address.

Dale, at some point, please check in with Dr. Kendra. She and I have traded mail periodically and I think she's someone that you can trust through this. Like they say on the planes: "First put the oxygen mask over your own face, and then you can help the person sitting next to you."

Dan

Ah, well. I'll just "forget" to give you credit you the next time you solve something and then it'll all be even... Laughing

Sorry, dash. I came in during the middle of the discussion and it looked like a team thing with you sealing the deal with the final solve. If I hear back from whitehouse, or if Dale's ever found alive again, I'll make it clear.

It's not a problem for me at all dmax...but you forgot to give Kona credit in this solve too. She posted the letters I used to find agrippa. I had the luxury of actually finding a new page in my own time due in part to the contributions of others and then didn't have anyone to talk to about it...ack. I also had lots of time to look at the new pages and realised I didn't have a clue. I like group solves.

WTG and congrats on Sixty dmax. That was cool.
