 		Season 2 cards at Hamleys
I went along to Hamleys not even half an hour ago and they are really promoting the Perplex City Boardgame but they are handing out cards too. I didnt see any of the #H01 - #H05 cards but a lady handed me THREE SEASON 2 WAVE 1 CARDS!!

I looked at them and, sensing that i was confused, she came over to me and gave me another card. She said solve that to win a goody bag.

The one she gave me was a red from season 2 and it was ok to solve. Turns out that they have run out of goody bags and are just giving away Version 2 starter packs from Season 1, but I didnt turn it down. So thats one red, one orange and two yellows from Season 2 already. Not bad!!

I am also convinced that there are more types of card there but i didnt think it was right for me to start getting pushy and asking for everything they had.....also the initial few they hand out to you are different depending if you are an adult or a child it seems.

So i'm off to borrow a friends kid, get changed and go back there later....feel sorry for non-London based people though....

 		Okay, just got back from a mad dash to Hamleys on my lunch break. Seems the Hamleys special cards have been extremely popular, so popular they've had to be hidden! I only got a set (and all 6 of the S2 cards) because Hannah recognised me Smile

So yeah, people making offers to buy them, don't be expecting anything. I'm not sure if they'll be letting people have more than one set each. I'm not even sure they'll have any on Saturday, I was told that they're trying to arrange a print run by then.

 		 Season 2 cards at Hamleys
Tip for people planning to go to Hamleys, it is half term from some of the schools across the UK and Europe so Hamleys is rammed full of children, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents (and so on....). It is manic...

To be honest, i hope that the Hamleys cards (prefixed with H) are purely promotional because it just seems a bit unfair to people not able to get there. I'm lucky to work in London and its hard enough getting to the place and then not getting cards - so its not worth a trip across the Atlantic for some cards i don't think....Does anyone know if they are worth points or not?

Good luck to anyone venturing to Hamleys though....

 		I'm up in London this weekend, just so happens 'the boss' wants to go to Hamleys...so i'll see what I can get hold of.

 		Season 2 cards at Hamleys
Ok, sorry for the repeated posts but i just noticed something about these Season 2 cards....

on the back of all the ones i got (and so i presume the same for all of the ones being handed out as freebies) it says "The puzzle on the reverse of this card is a warm-up, but the other 6 puzzle cards earn you points and prizes at the Perplex City website."

Even though these cards are numbered and appear to be in new sets (dice, playing cards) maybe they are going to be the "7th card" in each pack...

Still confused as to why they are numbered though?
Any thoughts anyone? Confused

The Hamleys cards are worth points, but (for season 2) nothing compared to the actual cards. The Hamleys ones are worth 20 points each, while even card #002 is worth 100 points.

Oh yeah, looks like the point structure's changing for Season 2.

 		I phoned up Hamleys today and the assistant manager professed to know nothing about any Perplex City promotion whatsoever. What's going on? I don't want to take the long trip to London for nothing...

They're there as part of this "brain gym" thing going on there this week. They're up on the first floor. Perhaps the manager only knows them as Mind Candy, not as "the Perplex City guys"?

They're certainly there, I can assure you.

 		Ok, well, I previously posted this in a different topic (bad me, it was my first post too...) but...

I got ten cards from Hamleys; five H01-05 (answer to 01 is right, btw) and then five Season 2 cards. Two red, one orange, two yellow. Suits appear to be 'Dice' and 'Card suits'.

 		So... is it a no-go, then, for those of us across the pond who are willing to pay for Hamleys cards? Shocked If anybody finds a loophole and can get their grubby hands on something for me, I'm willing to trade whatever I have left (which isn't much, to tell the truth), and pay for postage!

 		I feel sorry for you guys way over the pond... well... how about this.

Thanks to a well-meaning friend, I've managed to get a second-style Starter box. I've already got a first-style starter box and I don't need the second one. Through the same medium, I've also got doubles of the following Season 2 cards: #035, #068, #072. And a full set of five Hamleys edition cards, worth 20 points each.

How about: I'll send that starter kit with the eight cards from Hamleys in it, instead of the two foil packs of Season 1 cards that are normally inside the pack, to the first person to contact me. Sending to worldwide isn't a problem. PM me ^^.

Starter kit also includes a mini-album with room for 100 cards, the Viard 'The Silver City' CD, ten stickers, a magazine and a postcard-sized guide to Perplex City.

EDIT: Gone to a good home ^^

 		Whoa, you people don't hang around!

I'm going to have to get used to this, I plan to dive headfirst in to Season 2 so you'll see me in the thick of it. I love these games, and I'm learning to love the community spirit that goes with them.

Until then, where is Perplex City.com? It's been the 15th for 16 hours now, no site!
