Author of Checkerboard Nightmare discovers ARGs
Kris Straub is a webcomic author and general annoyed person who has come across the Year Zero ARG.

Here are his comments

While this barely qualifies as "Press," what I found interesting/disturbing is the way he jumps on the fan-made hoax website bandwagon. While this is an obvious joke site, unlike opalescenthaze.com, I still get annoyed by people who go out of their way to make spurious websites to mess with the people who are enjoying the game and just trying to play along.

Of course, that led to a Time Friends Comic on his site.
