Nothing a few Google searches and some research can figure out. Here's the answers:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Across:
1: E xplosion
2: Dialetheism
4: Anekan tavada
5: Ourobor os
6: Priest
7: False
8: Zade h
9: True
Down:
1: Epimenidus
3: Paraconsistent
Now, any idea what the highlighted letters are supposed to spell?

"Enter."
It's the only anagram of those letters.

For the record (and for those who didn't get the e-mail), it came from ExamSPLAT sri-uk.org.

Anybody else think that was a relatively easy puzzle? I mean I solved it on my own before I even checked unforum to see if anyone else had done so...
Of course, you guys had already solved it an hour earlier but what can I do? (it's what I get for using my non-work e-mail to sign up for ARG's...I always have to go and check it every once-in-a-while)

Question I was just interested to know if anyone who emailed the answer back had a Japanese (I think) character inserted in it. Here is the text of my auto responce from SRI:

MdmSpirit, using the default encoding I get:
Quote:
Thank you for taking exam 01, we'll be in touch soon.
However, if i change the encoding to Japanese (SHIFT_JIS) then i get the same that you got:
Quote:
Thank you for taking exam 01, we値l be in touch soon.
So, I think it has to do with what you have your default encoding set to.

I haven't sent my email with a reply to the exam yet. Are you sure they only want "enter" or should I email them the answers to the crossword AND' enter'??

Just send the password to the email and you'll get an automated response back.

you should be able to send the answers too...i sent both in seperate emails and got the same auto-response to each within seconds.
now will the next email be the same from them if you just send the answers and not "enter" - not sure, i'd be interesting to see.
