Who is Jason Sec Retman?

Some guy named Markus sent me this. I dont know what it means. But it was in accoradnce to correspondance I sent him about Mr. Retman. I wanted to contact Retman. I know he's on to something. I'm afraid that since the message is relayed, he's not only already captured, but something may have gone screwy in cutting and pasting this. I sure hope their aren't any errors!

______
From: Markus
To: Professor Amershin
Subject: To do - 132

aabaaaagaadacabaibgaaf ae aaaa iiaa cab aeacecgiabaabadaaa iai iegaafia aa

____

Maybe you all can figure it out and get back to me?

1) Is this from a current active ARG or is this something completely new? (This post somehow made it to the News & Rumors section, don't know if you intended it that way.)
2) Why are you emailing this Markus person in the first place?
3) Why are you inquiring about this Retman person in the first place?

It is an ARG, sir.

It is mine.

Smile

This is simply pre-pre-pre-pre-game.

If you feel that news is not the correct place, move it.

Sorry if I confused you, and sorry this is already me coming out from behind the curtain, but anyhow.

Yeah jamesi, putting your "Mr Suspicious" hat on a bit early, aren't you?

Smile

Ah well, I can't really blame you. For some unknown, sad reason we all are slightly dubious of new ARGS these days if we don't know the PM's.
But all fears are now allayed. the42guy, I am happy to finally have a nice, clear set beginning to...well, begin at in a new ARG.

Count me on board!

Now I suppose I should actually have a go at this code thingy. Let's see, if "a" = "c" and "pi" = "endless suffering"...

I don't know who these "jamesi" and "the42guy" people are...
But I'd ignore them if I were you. I know you guys are good at solving puzzles and stuff, thats why I came to you.

You can probably expect my homepage with details about Jason on...
oh, lets say by Tuesday. I'll give you the link then. Hopefully your up to snuff... I couldve gone to those Connective people.

Alright, thats all I have to say...
Really, I'm going now.
Going. Now.

I might have been misread. Please don't think I was trying to quash anything -- I was just making sure that it was being placed in the right forum thread. I mean, what if this was a new discovery for the Flagmonkey saga that I didn't know about?

Not criticizing, only organizing.

Well I've thought of the Bacon Cipher (no letters but a and b though)...but I have a feeling that "Subject: To do - 132" is the key.

I'm much better at finding things than solving them... Very Happy

Yah, I've been ARG'ing a bit myself... I dont know what this is, but I see that, if you see "aa" as "one one", and not eleven, all the numbers convert to letters before j.

*shrug*

Thats why I came here. I do believe 132 is the key. Markus is communicating n code because I suppose he doesnt want to leave a track for the people that have Retman to see.

132...
hmm.

It seems my keyboard has been acting up or something - but whatever I pasted MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT.

Ick. I'll take another look and get back to you all as soon as I can.

Sorry.
Now to run off, I have to teach....

It appears I pasted it right, but I forgot to include this message I was sent:

---
Most are 3, but some are 2
and most of those 2 are 32
and one more thing - between me and you
a space you see,
a space there be,
but spaces are truly zeros to me.
---

I hope this helps. My website should be up fairly soon too; that'll tell the story so far.
