I really like the idea below. If for no other reason, I didn't get a two digit number, and if we all need our own unique two-digit numbers then... I'm out of luck. Sad

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The red numbers we've receive so far are all two-digit primes :one one (11), four seven (47), etc.

By my best estimation, the series we are missing is : 13, 19, 29, 31, 37, 43, 53, 61, 71, 79, 83, 89

Am I missing any?

I've been googling my brains out trying to get a hit on The Organization's "Interface", but I think I'm gonna have to try and bend my mind around the "arithmetic symbol groupings".
Anyone working on anything promising, I don't even know where to begin on this one.

Thanks Johnny!

There seem to be no shortage of ideas over at the thread dedicated to that puzzle, here.

The main problem there being that there are about five leads, none of which seem more plausible than the others (to me).

Maybe we should focus on this one first. We've been told that the symbol puzzle gives us the agent on the inside. The only other 2 unsolved puzzles are the shingle and the hangman puzzles. Since we haven't been given any more information on how to find the "interface," I'd lean toward believing that solving hangman will get us there.

I thought the hangman was just a key to help translate this last letter?

Personally, I think the key to locating the interface probably has to do with "Let reason guide your mind, and intellect steer your actions." I haven't turned up anything useful with google, though. There are a lot of weird "personal empowerment" sites out there. Rolling Eyes

OK, I just read this and got a chill.

I think what we're dealing with here is a merging of games--namely, with Deus City. The plots are the same, the words are the same, and the terminology is the same.

The interface would therefore be www.deuscity.com --the result of a TIME COMMUNICATION project.

I'll gather together some more of the similarities, but you can read a brief overview of what's been going on at http://deuscitywiki.caffeinedrip.com/wiki

If that is the case, I will be quite disappointed. Not so much if they are only using it as an interface, but if it is desigend to draw us into that game I'll be done.

ETA: looks like you may be so very right - there is an agent: Listen2Reason profile

Could this be our contact?

Son of ETA: be sure to look at the graphic on the right with the proflie details - look familiar?

Grandson of ETA: agents trusted by listen2reason lists an Ariana
her only statement:
Quote:
Time is of the essence . . .

other info
Quote:
Name: Ariana Smith
Location: somewhere out there, US
Gender: Female

So which one is the actual contact & what is the phrase we need to use?

Ariana is a player....posts in the UF forums and everything. I'm fairly sure I saw Listen2Reason post as a guest, but I need to check on that (still haven't found him, so I may be wrong). And from what I've seen, the gameplay is intended to be a merger of the two. Part of the game is collecting "folio pieces" in the mail...one of our players (morelaak) wll be receiving one soon.

As for tCoSA and Deus City merging, I think it's more likely to be an extention of the other type of gameplay into the other. They both started at the same time, so I think the intent was to attract separate crowds and then merge gameplay styles.

Reading through the site archives as we speak...there's a lot of catching up to do.

OK, I'm sorry if this is unclear, but there's a decent amount of plot to summarize and a lot of this rests on word choice.

In Deus City, the BROTHERHOOD is the present-day version of an organization that was started 500 YEARS AGO, based on the prophecies of NOSTRADAMUS. Members of this past organization (whose name we do not know, but I suspect it's "tCoSA") have carefully guarded FOLIO pieces that fortold the coming of the TIME COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT, when we would be able to communicate with people in the future. The citizens of Deus City are those people in the future.

As I previously mentioned, the Brotherhood (under Adam Brackin) is currently working to assemble the disparate pieces of the folio. Meanwhile, we are entertained by some puzzles from the puzzle on the TEMPORAL INTERFACE site, www.deuscity.com. Adam Brackin told us the Brotherhood has someone in the interface who we don't know--so we are also searching for this mystery agent who might be Listen2Reason and might be somebody else entirely.

There's more, but that's what led me to believe we're dealing with the same game.

I dunno, the connections seem a bit tenuous to me.

Perhaps you could weigh in on some of the unsolved problems here with clues found there? That would be pretty conclusive proof.

Especially the arithmetical groupings, which supposedly tell who we're supposed to contact.

I'm going to get to the source of this. I sent tCotSA an e-mail asking them if they knew Brackin, if the corporation was defencecorp, and if the interface was deuscity.com. I also asked if their agent was Ariana Smith. I'll post their reply when it arrives.

I'm not sure they are related though - the OOG timeline doesn't make much sense. We recive our trailhead in the middle of october and the game goes live in the middle of november, leaving us with about a month. Factor in postage times, that leaves us with about two weeks to solve all of their puzzles, which, given their difficulty, would be a tall order.
Also, the DC rabbit hole was found before the game went live - sometime in early november, leaving us with an obsolete trailhead. I don't think so, but we'll see when tCotSA writes back.

I believe the intent was to have the two games merge--the Deus City blog (deuscity.blogspot.com) started up even before October...the November 11th date was just when the backstory stopped and the puzzles started.

I believe the intent was for the games to be viewed as separate until some point of merger. Having said that, I have also requested confirmation from both tCoSA and Deus City in this manner.

Reading the letter that was solved in this thread, though, stretches my incredulity. It's essentially a summary of the backstory on Deus City so far.

As for Listen2Reason, that account probably is an in-game character. I couldn't find any sign of him/her on the UF forums. And the private message function on the deuscity page is disabled for that account, something I have never seen before. Ariana, on the other hand, is definitely out-of-game. She posted in the forums and even solved two of the DC puzzles first.

My bad, I edited to correct. I accidentally logged out of the website. Oops.
