I get:
Code:
1,2,11,2 (IMIX,IK,CHUEN,MEN)

???

EDIT: While there were 20 days, they only had 13 numbers, so started over again after 13, at 1.

Excellent find, I wouldn't have caught on to that.

Further Doom and Gloom:

"THE HOW AND WHY OF THE MAYAN END DATE IN 2012 A.D."

I was joking at first, but this has more "year zero" tones at every turn...

I hope that's not true, I have a lot of things yet to accomplish. And from

Reversing and slowing down gives these numbers:

Just in case it was missed...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://splitearth.org/01021115/ also contains a text file as well

Also, what do you use to decode decimal to text?

The text file wasn't there a minute ago.

It's HEX for:
Code:
Me and my buddy Thomas, we go way back.  IPH2TQ2TI2T  % â%U#%U %U3%U %U#% â%Ec%Es%A 2PH2UU2TW2UR2TV2PH2RI2R  %5s%5#%%c%%s%! 2RU2P      3" S  Cé 3" SR SR 3" SB Sr 3" SR S" 3" SB Sb 3" S  Cé 3" S" CÆ 3" S"     3" S2 Sr 3" S2 S" 3" S" Sb 3" S" Sr 3" S"     3" S" SR 3" S

ETA: There are lots out there, but this one is simple.
http://www.vortex.prodigynet.co.uk/misc/ascii_conv.html

EDIT2:
Only the first part is Hex. The other part:
Code:

Mayan end of days has been going on for at least 15 years that *I* know of, I remember listening to Art Bell back in '95 in the Army and hearing about the end of the world in 2012. I concur on the numbers, also reversed around 6.5-7.3 seconds there is a weird sound like someone leaning back in a squeaky chair- any of the sound wizards want to take a gander?

I suspect this is a substitution cipher - chucking the numbers into Perl and doing some tallying gives these totals: (Edit: Wasn't subst after all!)

If you hex->asc the wav numbers, you get:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
cyphTS2UP2UQ2TQ2UWthes

Taking out the non-readable bits means that we need to decode:

54 53 32 55 50 32 55 51 32 54 51 32 55 57

All of which are letters in the larger block - possibly the same key?

It was just all Hex/Dec/ASCII conversions but done three different ways.

In case it should come into play, later:

for the three sections:

1
Hex->ASCII

2
Dec->ASCII fed Hex_>ASCII

3
Hex->ASCII fed Dec_ASCII fed Hex->ASCII

Here's the .wav file. Reversed, it sounds like a FF or any of the PS1/PS2 RPG's song to me.
