 		I thought it was pretty damn funny, and I was totally taken in. I actually wondered at times whether it was an ARG at all, or maybe some attempt to create a sort of internet ghost story/mythology.

No they can't. Any freaky effects you're experiencing are all in your mind. Now that we all know it was a prank, just watch them. Keep this in mind: you're watching 3D face models with modified television jingles and other stuff for a soundtrack. If that's too freaky, watch with the sound off. It won't be that bad.

To put it another way:

I was pretty freaked out by the videos as well. They were mysterious, and somewhat creepy. I think a lot of this was the unknown behind the videos.

No one has any reason to let these videos freak them out now. This is all fake. The PM designed these videos to be creepy. A real person, just like you, sat there and took the time to make it be creepy. But it's all fake. It shouldn't scare you any more than a movie might scare you a little. It's all fake...keep this in mind while trying to view the videos.

If anything, this prank taught me how much your mind can screw with you. Fear and paranoia can indeed be quite strong and overtake your mind even when it's completely irrational. I've been a little paranoid over the past week and even left a light on to sleep a few times. I feel quite the fool about that.

 		The happycube boards now say that they're releasing three more videos. A nice gesture, even if they turn out to be jokes.

I'm a little confused by all of the people referring to this as a "prank". A "prank" would be if the PMs had actually been successful in convincing a large number of credulous individuals that this was 100% real. All of us seemed to know this was a game/interactive story, and just kept up to get the next videos and find out what happened next. It was an interactive game where they could have pulled the plug at any moment, or they could have dragged it out indefinitely. Thankfully, they chose the former; I don't think I would have paid attention had it progressed much further.

The PMs did spend a substantial amount of time on this, which suggests that they did take it seriously. And, forgetting the large number of disjointed plot devices (the third video still gets a WTF from me) they did a great job, and showed some talent for writing real, compelling stories. Everyone (except for DJSampson) should give them a kudos.

I'm totally saying "T'was all for boners" whenever I can. As well as "HUGE DICKS SLAPPING YOUR TENDER MOUTH." I thought that video was the funniest thing ever. I'm hoping that the SA guys behind this did that video as well.

I have to agree taht the SA guys were good at knowing how to creep people out. I felt like a sap after finding out t'was all for boners, especially after doing that ritual stuff. Jokes on me.
