That's a nice move, sampson. I wouldn't have done that.

Wow
Hook Line and Sinker.

I guess I can relax now...

Wow. Just wow. I guess I can take that repilca .50 desert eagle back to the shop now. It's heavy anyway, and I'm tired of carrying it around.

I was fully convinced, well, about 90% convinced this was all real.

Now, before you all jump on me and call me a dork, let me explain.

I had a cold. So, I did what all red-blooded Americans do, I took a bucketload of cold medicne. What I failed to realize is that Japanese cold medicne, while effective, is loaded and I mean LOADED with Ephidrine. The real thing. Seems that this is the active ingredient in methamphetamine. And one of the most prevalent side effects is... wait for it...

Paraniod Delusions and Psycosis.

So yeah, the lesson here is don't do drugs and play creepy games in the mddle of the night that have flesh-eating supernatural monsters that come for you and kill you.

Congrats to the PM for making this week the wierdest of my entire life.

Actually, we thought you were an in-game character who got killed by the 15th child. But I guess you're still here.

Not planning on it...

I was seriouslt freaked out though... I holed up in my apartment and wrote a letter saying that if I was found dead that they should start looking into this game and then mailed it to myself so someone would find it in the postbox. Ya know, in case the BEK ransacked my apartment and made it look like a robbery or something.

I full on lost it. Only after looking up the medcine and I stopped taking it, and then reading all this did I realize that I was marginally insane.

Like I said, it's been an intersesting week.

Well, I'm glad to hear that your paranoia has cleared up. The last thing you want to do is wake up in the middle of the night, blow your brains out and then realise when you're chillin' with Saint Peter by the pearly gates that the BEKs weren't really coming to get you.

Or something like that.

Jeeeeeezus, I woke up this morning all excited to hear about what happened with the trip to get the artifact and to the bookstore, and then I read all of this.
I can't say that I blame djsampson for being a bit pissed. I would be, too. Not to mention the fact that my girlfriend thinks I am a doofus for liking this kind of stuff, so she would be *way* less than thrilled if I drove around Wisconsin on a wild goose chase with her! I would never friggin hear the end of it. Smile
I agree with what csupo said, though. The PMs knew dj was a little let down by not having a mission to go on, and I think they tried to make him (and us) happy by giving him one. Something got messed up somewhere along the way, and as much as that sucks, it happens. The best laid plans of mice and men, and all that.
Am I going to stop playing? No, I am not. To be honest, I am really enjoying this. Never having played an ARG before, I can truthfully say that yesterday showed me just how amazing doing these things can be. I felt like I was a part of something fun, and it's a really wonderful feeling. To be able to sit at a desk and still feel like I am on some sort of adventure...well, it shows me why you guys love these things.
Dj offering to help the PMs was a darn good show of faith and respect, and I admire the heck out of him for that. I can't imagine that running one of these things can be very easy. And because of that, I can overlook the bumps in the road, as long as the road ends up eventually taking me somewhere cool.
So, I'm in til the end. Bring on the serial killers, BEKs, and wild goose chases!
And Smith, nice to see you are alive and well! Smile

On the one hand, I'm kinda glad I didn't miss much while I was away from the internets.

On the other hand... what the heck?!

On the other other hand... with the forum down, and the "delay" in plans, maybe we're supposed to find another avenue of information?

Everything seems pretty quiet now. Sad
Maybe releasing another video would help pick things up again?

Well, I'm going to call the Masons later. If I can, I'll get the call recorded and upload it.
