So, it turns out the picture is of him. Also, the picture is in the same place, with a similar pose. Was he trying to emulate the old photo, or was he unaware of the older photo when he took the newer one?

I may be new to ARGs, but I do know fiction well enough to know this is the time to consider mentally ignoring established laws of physics. As he has admitted, the man in the picture does look like him, and his father never owned such a car. Is the man in the picture him? 256 has already done things without telling himself. Is this him discovering his own true past?

Also breaking laws, we have Lovecraftian physics. For anyone who hasn't read, Lovecraft wrote short stories, many of which were in the same universe, where there are beings beyond our comprehension, whose mere existence can make us go insane if we learn of it. This often had beings of true evil, which is something humans can sense, and causes fear in them (us) that can stop us from, say, going down a hallway. Maybe this is what we are looking at.

Either way, especially reflecting on his recording videos without telling himself, I think our current opinions of laws of physics and such will be stretched in the near future. These are just a few ideas, anyone else have any opinions?

Two other things I forgot:
1. Does anyone else find it suspicious that all the comments are on posts under the cellphone section?
2. 256 won't send me a return email. Is there some way I'm supposed to contact him?

And another thing I just thought of:
In the notes section, you can clearly see 'me' on the 1988 picture. This handwriting looks mighty like that on the rest of the notes on that board.

you can see in these photos that apart from the slight difference in the position of the car, they are the same house. the bushes are the same shape and location, the window is the same. you can just see the lamp in the old one that is on the far right and also the discolouration on the wall below it.

EDIT: snap with Ash there is the possibility of the Fight Club scenario, but this polaroid is defiantly in the past, 1988 and he has said he would not have been old enough to drive.

good point, i am no sure about fairlady. she might have infiltrated our little club. the way she writes too, she hasn't come in from uF or the other site that i have seen that is following this ARG. don't tell her anything, i don't like how she asked if 256 has told you anything.

the noise on the mystery video is a bit of a worry. especially if it is not what he hears and is not what he heard when he listened to it on his phone. it might be possible that his phone picked up sounds that couldn't normally be heard. maybe it is a kind of virus that is spread by sound (eg like the TV series "threshold").

more about the polaroids. they aren't infront of a house, it is his work.
