[S2] Dropdown problem - Firefox works, IE doesn't

Apologies if I'm breaking any board etiquete but I'm not sure where to post something like this. I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but it might be something worth posting in a prominent place for everyone who is tearing their hair out right now...

For answers requiring dropdown entry you will have to use Firefox not IE, as even if you enter the correct answer when using IE it will give you an 'incorrect answer' response!

So at the moment Firefox is your friend if you want to be sure your answers are correct or not.

I tested this last night with a few cards that have dropdown answers (#033, #039, #042, #066) after someone mentioned it in a thread on here. Fortunately I have both IE and Firefox installed so it was quick and easy to do. What was returned as incorrect via IE was then accepted as correct with Firefox. Seriously frustrating and I've a couple of lockouts due to this.

Good luck!

IE Problem Fixed

My apologies too if breaking any etiquette here.

In the Feedback section of the PXC Forum, MC have created "The Working Overtime Thread" to cover bug fixes. The following was posted earlier today:

"Puzzlers using Internet Explorer were sometimes being told that their answer to a puzzle was incorrect, especially if it involved drop downs, even if they had the correct solution. We're pretty sure we've got to the root of the problem, so try again! "

Using IE, I have since tried a number of S2 cards which use dropdowns and have had all of them accepted, so it's looking good.

Why everyone doesn't get Firefox anyway just beats me.... it's generally faster, better and more secure. And for the small percentage of sites that don't work with Firefox you can install the IE Tab add-on that gives you a little item on the bottom right corner of the screen. At any time you can press the button and it will switch to displaying the page in IE within Firefox.

Just my views on the subject....
