Earth has many distinct forms of recognised culture, including: youth culture, low culture, popular culture and drug culture. Earth people chose to participate in culture on a regular basis, many believing it is good for their health and well being. The watching of television dramas is heavily promoted in the media, for example, with many magazines devoted entirely to this hobby.

The appetite for drama can be so great at times that there are often terrible 'script droughts', when writers simply cannot produce enough raw material to meet the demand for drama. In these circumstances Earth citizens are forced to join together, taking turns to have their lives filmed as they live together in specially built houses, making up the drama as they go along.

Many younger people choose to expand their minds further by practicing their reaction times and problem-solving skills with electronic games - similar to the ones we enjoy here in Perplex City.
