It might be a bit of a trip but not bad; I'm in St. Louis. It's about a 5 hour drive from ChiTown.

Hey guys, I saw the announcement!
I guess I'll be joining in on this ARG heading up to WPB Friday, though my method of transportation is a bit sketchy...

Well, 40 minutes of driving and one librarian's sanity later, I have the folio fragment! I'm not quite sure what it means since I'm still getting into this, and I'm gonna try to get a feel for all the faction leaders in a bit, and maybe barter with them for the folio page.

Transcription of the folio. It looks mostly likethe St Augustine Prophecy Adam got from the guy in Florida, but parts appear to be a little different? (Machines of light and fire really looks like a "t", for example)
Quote:
The pure tongue unlocks the prophecy
Until the time it can be read by all
Machines of ?tight? and fire abound
Infinite copies of infinite truths
The silver moon sees the traveler stop
His way blocked by the impassible gulf
Waiting for the blackbird to come
The root of evil makes stubborn pockets full
The brothers end is his beginning
When broken links are reformed
Three against one he will stand
Prisoner only to fate and faith
In Deus City there is deafening thunder
two witnesses are torn apart by chaos
while foundations stand ?firm? a leader falls
The third horrible war begins as the city is consumed.
From the center of earth spew earthquakes and fire
Ashes lime and dust are thrown from the walls
Close to the great thousand years
The heavens draw near to reconciliation
The only difference between Adam's earlier transcription and this one is the line
This folio: "The root of evil makes stubborn pockets full"
St. Aug: "The root of evil makes empty pockets full"

Bugger - had just typed this out and when I got to posting it - Notgordian had beat me to it!!!
Nice Job on collecting the page Bluefire, and fast job transcribing it Gordo!
Preliminary thoughts :
Silver Moon - Pie? - seem to remember the moon being referred to before
Three against one - seem to remember a 3 vs 1 before too
Root of evil = money/greed = one of the 7 sins mentioned before but wasn't it absent from the list?? Kinda shouts out spend spend spend!
Blackbird = is this the Helicopter again or does this refer to Raven??

Hey guys. I'd like to give you all a hand, if that's allright.
I'm in Bakersfield, CA right now, but on July 2nd I'll be moving to St. Louis. just drop me an email if there's anything I can do to help.
FYI, if you need help with the whole Cain and Esau thing, I have a bachelors in theology. If you have more info, I have tools. :p

Welcome to St. Louis, Amanda, pm me if you have any questions - I've been here most of my life.

Heh so have I. I was just staying in CA for a little while while I was pregnant with my baby girl.
I have to ask, in true StL fashion:
Which high school did you go to?
------------------------
I'm sure somone's already noted this:
Also. Caligula, Augustus, and Nero were not the biological sons of the emperor before them. Cain/Cane and Esau were both passed over by God the "Father" in favor of others. Cain, his younger brother Abel (which resulted in Abel's murder) and Esau, his younger brother Jacob.
Perhaps it has something to do with the usual candidate being passed over for someone else? IE, the Cesars passed over their own biological heirs for someone else, just as God passed over Cain and Esau?

Foo has posted the pictures on his blog , so anybody can free feel to discuss the information with the characters, if you've been holding back before.

Just an FYI, I got an AIM from Bluefire saying he didn't have time to get into Deus City so he gave me permission to do with the folio as I saw fit.
I sent it to Chris b/c I'm curious what he'd do with it. Unlike Adam and Foo, he doesn't have a blog to post it to...and yet he seemed VERY interested in securing a piece.

Boredom is a strong motivator. I sent it to Adam cuz Chris didn't write in a week.
