So which one is Groves?
EDIT: I think I see the point. Groves isn't in the picture. I'm comparing the picture of him on wiki to the picture from the site, both normally and with the picture magnified, and I'm not seeing Groves anywhere in it.

Argh, I am at work now and cannot really research this further but I do believe reading something about the significance of the location that this picture was taken. If you find that out please post it here. Thanks.

[INFO] Location of S-1 Committee photo Bohemian Grove, CA From what I could find here , and here; the S-1 Executive Committee met at Bohemian Grove , CA (September 13, 1942). Those pictures aren't the same as the S.jpg used on visce, but they were certainly taken at the same time (same people, same clothing, same pipe.)
eta: If OTW stands for "of the world", what does HTFIFI mean?
edit2: Bohemia Grove is in Sonoma County, CA; just north of San Francisco.
Arg-fest-o-nauts were just near there.

Woohoo! I was able to find a larger version of a photo from the day in question.
S-1 Committee members at Bohemian Grove, September 13, 1942. Left to right: Harold C. Urey, Ernest O. Lawrence, James B. Conant, Lyman J. Briggs, Eger V. Murphree, and Arthur H. Compton.
The photograph is courtesy Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

On the wikipedia article for S-1, it says it was a block cypher hidden in a source code on usenet that ended up being a hoax, but was thought to be leaked codes from the Skipjack algorithm, and the codename of the atomic bomb. So maybe the text in the source is a cypher of some sort? [/url]

Anyone notice the change to the site? Hit ctrl-A. In all of those number there are two words: Whiterose. and blackRose
Edit: the number seem to be just repeating the same thing over and over:
70 111 111 108 115 116 114 105 101 100 116 111 119 105 115 104 105 116 97 119 97 121
Sorry to keep editing, those two words are also links.

It is repeating:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Foolstriedtriedtowishitaway
I believe
When you navigate to those pages you get in the source of whiterose: 'O.jpg'
and another 'S' on blackrose with an image that is 'R.jpg'

On the whiterose page, if you look in the source, you should see the letter A as well as an image that isn't showing up called O. BlackRose has the letter S above a picture called R.
EDIT: D'oh! Beaten to the punch.
Going from memory, the first string of letters: OTWHTFIFI
Add the new ones and we have: OTWHTFIFISRAO
The image from the site before it changed was called S, so we should probably add another S to that: OTWHTFIFISSRAO
Son of EDIT: Found the image for O here .

Source file. It seems to be a 'hidden' link within the main text, "make it work this time."
Also, it's taking any sort of name for .html (with the exception of whiteRose/blackRose) and generating the same page. Meh.

It's not so much hidden, as it is in the period. That was clever. I tried to log in with the name leslie and it said it was an unauthorized login and that it had been logged.

Yeah, it shows up in the '.' when making up .html names, and the .css isn't the same as the main pages. (And seriously, any old .html works. I even put in 'iamastupidboogerface.html', and it still came up.)
There are no files in the FTP now. I've checked this page a few times, and it seems like it changes every couple of days.
