Good spot, I missed that. Also on that page, the full stop on all rights reserved links to the same page. Again, probably irrelevant, but worth keeping an eye on...

Well I know that, and you know that....but if this is argland, Leslie Groves might not know that Laughing

Just looking for the connection for Groves now that it's specifically mentioned on the site.

Hmm.. if you do a google search for kane hacker, you actually come up with alot of articles about a hacker named Kane, who is apparently a real guy.

Edit: wow.. my apologies.. this thread is moving very fast at the moment. Dind't notice that someone else found all kinds of stuff on this guy.

It's also possible that 'founders' implies persons who created the program (whatever that may be) and are now passed. Founders don't have to be alive.

But then why would he be addressing Leslie? Unless they have the internets in the afterlife or something.

It looks like they were going for "something" on the founders page with the period on "All Rights Reserved", but I just get a script error when I hold my house over it. The "focused content here" at the top is in a <div>. It looks like what was supposed to happen was when you mouse over the period, that <div> should cover the screen. But its not working yet.

Unless its just my computer, it looks like our notorious hacker isn't that good with javascript...

I'm guessing it has to do with cross-platform compatibility or just the improper charset values.

There are some interesting products included in the images directory

EDIT: Adding more specific info for charsets on Apache and using .htaccess

Yeah. I tried the login URL though and it's back to the normal index page now...

Geez, I go to work and suddenly blam! So, doesn't look like the Visce guys will be much help. They can't even seem to make links work on their website. XD Everything just directs me back to the main page. Except for the founders link, which I think is quite telling. Also, why would they have their current CEOs and their founders on the same page?

I emailed both the kanejame and brehon.s addresses, and got this reply from brehon

Quote:

Good evening. Kane is an infamous hacker who has infiltrated and pulled out data from our web server at visce.com.
The matter has been taken care of, and the web masters are ready to backfire any other threats.

Sincerely,
Brehon S.
Webmaster

Well, that certainly doesn't give us anymore info, but eh.

From the History Page:

Quote:
Visce was founded on 1945, by General Leslie Groves and Samuel McGaulin. The Visce Project, as it was first called, branched out from the Manhattan Project, serving as a support base for the damages that the atomic bombs would cause at Nagasaki and Hiroshima. With a team of 5 disclosed scientists, the team began the research to a fast and effective cure for the radiation and atrocious physical damage. Unfortunately, the project was discontinued due to circumstances.
Visce Enterprise was refounded and reconstructed July 5th of 1997 by Chris Tatiano and James Atkins. Through many years, the laboratory was recovered, along with the research and materials that was last used around 50 years ago. Continuing the top secret project that was long forgotten, Visce Enterprise is here to bring a variety of medical supplies and new medicines, vaccines, and drugs to the ongoing warfare in Iraq, Sudan, etc.
