[Puzzle] Blue-#142-Photoshopped This is one of the new cards from Saturday:
Quote:
Name The Various Photoshop Filters Applied To this Image
This Picture won't shrink! Even when it shrinks on everything else. Bad picture!

I'll leave this to all you impressive graphic designers.
On the back of the map there's a building marked PCTA. What is this? A search of wiki and unfiction yields nothing.

It looks like just on the edge of the map is a tennis court, so I would suggest that PCTA = Perplex City Tennis Association/Authority

Teritorial Army?
Oh, the writing on the back says:
Quote:
GOVERNMENT DISTRICT
Much of Perplex City's government is located around key square in the white stone buildings characteristic of the Resurgence period. The council operates an open policy that allows citizens to monitor and actively participate in government functions, generally through their keys but also in person by simply walking into the relevant buildings.

I like your thinking, but that could frankly be anything.
Training Acadamy?? Could be anything really.

Yay, mucking around with photoshop finally pays off!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. film grain
2. diffuse glow
3. seems to be lens flare (50-300mm zoom)
4. motion blur
5. mosaic
Will you look at that, I actually contributed to solving a puzzle card. First time for everything.

Do we know who the child is in this photo? Could it be one of the Mind Candy team?

We don't have the answer to this one yet guys, just tried entering it, and it comes up with an incorrect answer. Used
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
film grain, diffuse glow, lens flare, motion blur, mosaic
and it didn't work.

The only two I can say for certain what they are without looking at the card itself (sorry, those tiny pics make for difficult ID) are:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
#3: Lens Flare
#5: Mosaic
...because those two filters are very characteristic, even at small size.
#1 may be Add Noise instead.
#2--well, honestly, I don't know. It might be diffuse glow; depends on your settings, I guess. I'll investigate once I get home if nobody else nails it.
#4 is probably a blur, but I can't tell which one. It's probably Motion due to the distortion of the face. If you want a list to play with, there's also Blur, Blur More, Smart Blur, and Gaussian Blur. Or it might be Pinch (once again, the facial distortion..).
It probably doesn't help that I'm using a slightly outdated version of Photoshop, but unless someone else gets to it, I'll investigate when I get home.
