That's funny because all of us were saying how we wish we were in Europe where NIN is on tour, and subsequently most of the action is taking place.

I may live in Europe, but as a 16 year old who lives many miles away from any of the concerts, I don't have enough time nor cash to get anywhere. But a free event where I'd get to listen to a (as far as I've heard) good album and meet people would have been ace! Very Happy

Think of it this way. ARGs are only now becoming a burgeoning genre, and you're in on the ground floor. When they get to be a REALLY BIG THING, you'll be old enough to have some decent cash flow and the ability to go wherever you want.

I'm hoping to attend the Ohio party. It's the last in the schedule - I'm hoping they "Go out with a bang" ... just not Texas Star-style, as mentioned earlier! I don't care how many mysterious government chicks get to cry orange Tang, I AIN'T GOIN' OUT Great White STYLE!

Just got back from the LP in Sacramento. Sadly, nothing was found by me, though I thoroughly searched both women's bathrooms. Nothing earth-shaking revealing either.

Still, that is one awesome album and I bought a reservation with lithograph (nothing new on the lithograph).

I went an hour early and handed out bottle water with the label "Aquapin" and a fake nutritional label that had "Parepin" as an ingredient. Sadly, only one person got what the hell I was doing. I acted like I was a promotion distributor for a new kind of water. That was fun as hell. Wink

They wouldn't let any cameras/cellphones/etc in, but there wasn't anything to take a picture of. It was the most ghetto thing ever. We all just piled into the club and the DJ said "Ok, we're playing the CD for you now!" and that was it. Listened to the album and then they thanked us for coming, told us to sign up for the album if we haven't already done so, then kicked us out.

Yeah no buttons at the Sac listening party. They had a video looping of all the videos NIN has done over the years, ending with some year zero video. But it was just the Survivalism video, then the short clip of the Presence. That's it. Some of the new tracks sound damn good so I preorded the album. Smile

Is anybody keeping track of the number of songs played at the listening parties (if they are easily discerned... a major assumption on my part)? If the 24.x.x numbers do correlate to song titles, a theory that has been strongly challeneged since the numbers began exceeding the tracklisting on YearZero.nin.com, these listening parties serve as opportunity to confirm the existance of songs beyond track 16.

Just a thought. If noone has done so by that time, I'll try to do it in Ohio.

Cheers!

Anyone else coming to the Austing LP? I'll be there, tearing the place apart like a madman looking for a USB.

Note: It's extremely unlikely any USB drives will show up at the event. The listening parties have been hit or miss about revealing any new material. When they do, it's in the form of buttons that have strings you can use on themailstrom.com.

I believe it will work best if you find yourself at the head of the line at the event.

Hey, didn't they give away the lithographs at a listening party? I dare say they may be about to change tactics with the button/shard dealies too - the USB drives were only found at a few concerts, i guess the buttons will only be at a few LPs..?

Anyone noticed how the pace has dropped back to practically a standstill of late? Feels like something big is brewing..!

I'd LOVE to go to the one in Leeds, but I guess it's not Under 18... which sucks majorly.

Wish I had a friend who could go in for me. Sad

What do people think about the yellow fliers passed out before the austin show? In-game/coicidence? Has anyone scanned one yet?
